This restaurant is absolutely stellar. I have spent several months of my life in Jamaica, and this is the best authentic Jamaican food I have found in the States! Angelee is so welcoming and just precious! I recommend the jerk chicken, beef patty and oceanade!You should try Island 919 today!

It was my first time going, I ordered a Veggie plate. It consisted of Rice & beans, Cabbage and plantains. It was absolutely amazing. Ms.Angie was the sweetest and was soo helpful. I’d definitely recommend 9.19 Island Cuisine to anyone, I can’t wait to go back!!!

I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, I was let down. Food wasn’t terrible, however, it’s the worst I’ve had… ever…. Like ever. The brown stew chicken has a tomato base taste and the rice didn’t have taste at all. Plantains were burnt. Oxtails only had gravy on them.

My boyfriend and I had a taste for some Jamaican food after running some errands in the area and decided to try this restaurant after we saw their reviews, and I’m so glad we did. I order the curry goat, and he ordered the oxtail which both came with rice and peas and cabbage. The owner brought our food out to us in no time and even let us sample two of her house-made drinks since it was our first time. The restaurant had a nice set up and was sanitary, the staff was very nice, and the food/drinks were delicious. We will definitely be returning.
