We ordered the full tender platter and prime rib sandwich with the cinnamon churros for dessert. Everything was very good and the service was amazing. Thank you for a great lunch!

Usually enjoy this place whether coming in for lunch or later in the night. But I must say, since the day-time bartender left, the service has not been quite the same. Additionally, I don't think I've gotten one properly poured Guiness since she left. I would still recommend going herethough.

Old Fashioned is watered down. Tastes like they put tap water in it. A good one won't be a cup full and they use maraschino cherries. As someone who drinks these regularly, husband was very disappointed. Pineapple marg came in a baby cup (in my opinion). Usually margs come is big glasses. About 5 big swallows in this little cup although it has potential. Tasted good, I ordered two. PRO: Great lunch or dinner spot but for a bar I was disappointed. Foods good, drinks not so much (what we ordered anyway). No issues with service though and the place is pretty clean. Music is loud on the weekends so just beware if that's something that bothers you.

Best steak and cheese on a hoagie roll I've eaten in years! The server was amazing! She even let me use her phone to pull up the menu. My hubby had the hot pastrami, which was also delicious. The reason why I gave it 4, not 5, stars was a mixture of the 2 Louder than necessary men and the price overall. Fries (although served in a cute little basket) and a sandwich for 2 people shouldn't cost $50.

Nestled in the heart of Wake Forest, Real McCoy’s offers a unique dining experience that’s a bit of a mixed bag. The service tends to take its time – think of it as a leisurely stroll rather than a sprint. As for the food, it’s a rollercoaster ride from ‘meh’ to ‘okay-ish,’ with flavors that sometimes hit the spot and other times miss the mark.Come nightfall, the atmosphere transforms into a spring break party. It’s lively and energetic, which might be a hit or miss depending on your mood. If you’re seeking a quiet evening, this might not be your spot. But if you’re in for a bit of revelry and don’t mind the wait, give it a whirl!Pros:- Energetic night atmosphere- A varied menu with some decent optionsCons:- Service can be slow- Food quality is inconsistent- Noisy environment at nightIn summary, Real McCoy’s is the place you go to for the vibes rather than the culinary delights. It’s a solid choice for those who enjoy a bustling, vibrant scene and have the patience for a slower service.

For one thing I ordered 6 wings and wanted all flats and the waitress told me they don't do that there and I asked why and she said because they just don't and they can't do it for one customer, well I'm in the business and you do all you can to please one customer because they can influence many others just like I am now, she also acted perturbed when I asked her about specials, that she should have told me about before I had to ask, the food is way over priced, I mean a pastrami sandwich cost me 17.00 and it came with soggy fries, the sandwich was dry. The wings were ok if you think 10.00 for 6 wings is cool even when you can't choose the pieces, the blue cheese dressing had no cheese in it and it was like water with no taste, 60.00 for 4 beers and 2 sandwiches was outrageous even if the food was good and it sucked.

The kitchen is amazing - Chef's specials always worth a try! Had a "new to me" server tonight, SAM! What a gem! Great attitude, pleasant demeanor, knows the menu, not hesitant to make recommendations and knows about catering! 10/10 for SAM! Met Melanie tonight as well! Very impressed! Great job Real McCoys!

When dining out, you can often have good food, good staff, or a good experience. Occasionally, you can get two of those three. Real McCoy deftly combines superb food, talented staff, and depending on when you visit, the right atmosphere. On that last point, call ahead and ask what is vibe is when you want to visit. There are quieter lunches with just enough background music, trivia nights, live music, sports game nights, etc. Whatever your vibe, they have it. They have attentive and fast staff (shout out to our waitress, Sydney!), a classy and experienced bartender (Missy rocks!), and management on site making sure everything is just perfect. When our party of 7 visited for a long lunch, they made sure everyone had a great time. We were dealing with a stressful time in one of our party member's life. We also had a persons with disabilities with us who was in a wheelchair. They setup a private dining area for us, lowered the music, and closed the doors to provide us with some privacy. Superb service all around.Do yourself a favor and try them out. Best place in the area for almost any occasion.
