RIP Smilthfied Chicken and Barbecue...After being a devoted customer for over two decades without any issues, I'm sad to say that this visit marks the end of my patronage to Smithfield Chicken and Barbecue. Unfortunately, recent changes, such as the overly hard and spicy chicken batter and a decline in the barbecue's quality, fall short of the restaurant's previous standards. During my drive-thru experience, the Barbecue Sandwich Value Pack disappointed further with soggy and cold fries, an abundance of pork chunks rather than finely cut pork in the sandwich, and the wrong tea served despite my specific request for sweet tea both at the kiosk and pickup window. Regrettably, the current state of service and food quality no longer justifies my time or money spent.

Wife wanted shrimp and BBQ, 5pm on Fri. Other than us maybe two other customers dinning inside. Every table had crumbs on it, wife wiped one semi clean for us. Entire floor felt slippery/greasy. Found a bone the size of a quarter in the BBQ. Cold fries, sad little hush puppies. Saw an employee conducting an obvious drug deal in the men's restroom. And to top it off with a 96 sanitation grade. This location has gone wwaaayyyyy down hill.

Gave me a drink that was cracked and it fully unloaded in my car. Went inside and told them about it and he got me a drink. No apology - nothing. I asked if he was the manager and he said “one of them”. He said what else do you need and I said “How about an apology?” He said “Sorry- I didn’t do it” and acted annoyed My opinion is they don’t need managers if this is how they behave. Last time I will ever come here.
