The only true country joint left in wake forest. The staff is friendly and knows you like family. The food is amazing and the prices are like stepping in a Time machine to 2010. Absolutely love this place and I hope they never change.

We had another delicious breakfast this morning...great food, endless coffee and wonderful, friendly service. Very reasonable prices too. Veggie omelette was huge, Cattleman's country ham spot on and not too salty, eggs and biscuits perfect as always! Also enjoy stepping back in time with the classic diner ambiance. Isn't it time for you to make a run for The Border!!!

Decent hearty breakfast that's not too expensive or trendy. Great for down-home types and working people. Good food for good value.Wheelchair accessibility: Might be a bit tricky, but it can work.

Must stop for family home cooked breakfast! When you walk in, you seat yourself. My husband and I were visiting a friend and they recommended this place for breakfast. Our waitress Lisa was fantastic. The prices take you back in time! Such a cute place, they have a bar to sit at, they have a train in the window on the left side. You would not believe how much seating is available inside from the looks on the outside. My husband ordered the mountain man. The bacon is cooked to perfection. Order lots of bacon! I ordered the Polish omelette with a side of corn beef hash. The corn beef hash was good. Also, order a side of their apple butter for the buttery biscuits. Parking was available across the street. Be careful crossing the street to enter the restaurant.

Every item ordered was well prepared, fresh and tasty. Especially liked their Frostie.

The Boarder… of disaster. Not even sure where to start. Showed up here on recommendation of a friend who heard it was good. Upon entry I was hit in the face with a waft of cigarette smoke from a lady in snoopy pajamas. My family and I quickly figured out that this was a seat yourself establishment- not something I’ve personally encountered in recent memory. Anyhow, I ordered country ham and scrambled eggs. Country ham was decent, the eggs were wretched. I’m not even completely sure they weren’t powdered eggs, either way, they were lukewarm at best. I can’t complain about the service, my coffee was always topped off with a quickness. If you like the atmosphere of a truck stop, nicotine stained walls, sagging ceilings, and take out orders placed in recycled Dollar General bags, this place is for you.

Shorter hours now, so the emphasis is on breakfast, always it's strongest suit. You'll find all the basics here, fresh eggs, fluffy pancakes, delectable sausage, great coffee and a few surprises, too. Signature dishes like the "Beggle", Ribeye sandwich, Breakfast Enchilada and daily specials fulfill that end. Great food, reasonable prices and wonderful attentive service amidst a comfortable "way back when" atmosphere all combine to make The Border an enjoyable escape.

Old school diner offering breakfast classics. Not somewhere you will go seeking ambiance, but if you are looking for a good breakfast at a reasonable price, then this is your spot. Service was attentive and friendly, food was as expected, and coffee was hot and plentiful. Will be back again.
