I would love to give them a better review as sometimes their food is absolutely out of this world. However, they are one of the least consistent places I’ve ever frequented. One day the brisket may be absolutely perfect and the next it may be literally inedible. Today it was hard as a rock. Some days the cabbage is the bomb! Others it tastes like straight up plastic. Some days the staff are friendly and kind and others they can make you feel like you’re the biggest inconvenience that’s ever came through the door. If you’re looking for inconsistency, look no further! Kind of like those trick jelly beans. Could be buttered popcorn, could be dirty bandaid.

CHICKEN FEATHERS ON FOOD!!! I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!! 3 Strikes, Your Out!!! This is the third time I have received grilled chicken from Boss Hogs in Washington NC with chicken feathers still on the wing. The 1st time this happened I gave them a hall pass. The second time I figured I was just really unlucky. The third time, I received grilled chicken with feathers on the wings was today. I will never go back! Just totally unacceptable for a restaurant to serve people chicken feathers. This is an indicator of how careless the reasturant staff and management is in preparing your food and a reflection of the sanitation as a whole. Plus the fact that they charge a incredibly high PREMIUM price for their feathered food. I was charged $18.28, during lunch, carry out, for 1/2 a grilled chicken (breast wing leg thigh), small chicken pieces at that, plus No Sides, and one small piece of cake. And then after being price gouged, I had to debate with the cashier about getting 2 small "to go" pre made containers of BBQ sauce. She said, "only one per customer." And I said, "but I ordered 1/2 of a chicken"....I just spent darn near $20 dollars in your reasturant during LUNCH on a to go order and your going to hassle your customer over some BBQ sauce, really?10 years of eating here ends today....the prices keep going up, poor sanitation, and the service is below average. I guess you can use the quills of the cooked chicken feathers on your food as a toothpick when your done.

Didn't have prices listed. Older lady got mad and walked off because I asked where the prices were and because I kept asking her how much stuff was. She leaned over to another lady before walking off and said he keeps asking for the prices. Asked for a shrimp plate got 6 pieces of shrimp. One BBQ sandwich small Brunswick stew small thing of collards. And a small portion of just BBQ. Bad service. Rudely interrupted while getting my order taken. By another staff member that works there because she didn't get her food right. Ended up being 42$ dollars and no pricing anywhere. Bad choice on my part should have ate at hog heaven but there not open on Mondays. Don't recommend.
Ordered to go plate, plate was excellent, Collard greens was my craving and they good. Good window service. Good Ole sweet tea ?

My husband and son picked up food here. First, he said the service was awful. He said there were five or so people just standing around while he and other customers stood there waiting for someone to take their order. Once someone finally did he said they were extremely rude. The food was absolutely terrible. The shrimp and oysters were over cooked and waaaay too salty. The flounder was flavorless and cooked to mush. My kids liked their BBQ sandwiches and the Mac and cheese but that is it. The chicken was very dry and over cooked. 90$ down the tubes. Over half the food was inedible. I miss Cliffs Seafood so much. Save your money, go to the fish market and make it yourself.

I greeted my server twice before she spoke to me. Then charged a .40 to sit in fee? Never heard of that ever. The food was lukewarm. I obviously won’t be back.
