Food was delicious, I got carryout to be picked up at a specific time. They had it hot and ready, however the did mess up on the type of bread I requested. I called and I know they will make it right next time.

Have been eating here for years. Always great servers and food. Daily specials are a favorite!

The building is a super-cool historical building and the waitress was nice and friendly. However, I wouldn't recommend this place in its current state because I'm not sure what was even going on. I originally ordered today's special which was fried chicken, but then I was told the special today would actually be meatloaf. Meatloaf is tuesdays special listed on the menu as you can see in the photo. It's not a daily special if it's from a couple days ago. I ordered one of the wraps listed, and was told they were out of fries lol. It seemed like their menu was as new to them as it was me...Again the staff was friendly, but there was an overall lack of direction and management. The menu was way too big and needs and major makeover from the current chef/kitchen team.

What the hell happened to the Meeting Place. It used to be a quaint little lu. Ch spot on Main Street. I walked in for lunch around 12:45 waiting to avoid the lunch rush. Had to wait to be seated even though there were plenty of empty tables. The menu is an abomination of "cutesy quirky" items such as Mary'a this Backwoods that. Take way too long to decipher the menu. Finally settled on soup and panino, yes that is proper Italian spelling. At least 15 minutes later I find they have no soup. OK on with my review had a nice cup of coffee while waiting, but a waitress came by and topped it with a horrible flavored coffee. All they had, I was finally told. OK, can I just get my panino, to which she replied I thought you ordered a panini? Rather than explain, I just said yes I did. And the wait goes on. Finally after being there for one hour my food comes I was one of about 10 people left in the restaurant. The ciabatta bread was excellent. My grilled chicken was dry and tough and only Luke warm. Definitely not fresh cooked at all. My side of mustard, I had to remind the waitress. I could have had a better grilled sandwich at Hardee's or McDonalds. The owner mistook me for someone else, and I,thinking she was a customer, said have you eaten here before. She replied that she was the owner. I repeated this story to her. she just shrugged her shoulders and gave me a ver cold sorry reply and turned away. The worst experience of my life, bar none.

The food was shockingly expensive. We both had turkey sandwiches and water and our bill was around $25.00. I can't lie though, that was some gooooooood turkey. Quality meat. The muffins you get while you wait are tasty as well. Staff were friendly. I definitely would consider going back next time I'm in washington.

This is my favorite lunch spot in Washington! Everything is always consistently delicious and I love having fresh fruit as a side option.

This restaurant was horrible! No brunch liquor license, served me raw poached eggs on my eggs Benedict. Told waitress to take away and show to manager...never came back. Had to ask other waitress for check. Brought us luke warm water for our tea.... Took so long bringing check we just left cash on table. Then waitress runs out to yell at us across parking lot that we did not pay! Avoid this place at all costs!
