I had the Mel B which is vegan and it was delicious! My husband built his own and says it was too greasy - but he's the one who added the Impossible Burger ? patty, so I think that is on him?. Also, in my opinion, a grilled cheese has to be a little bit greasy. And this is a very nice grilled cheese place. My only complaint was that I found the music to be a bit too loud.

To be honest, all of the positive reviews of this place and I'm a little confused as to why! I went in over the weekend and sat at the bar. The entire time I was there, a table sat dirty in the corner with nobody cleaning it off. The chicken sandwich I got was definitely nothing to write home about. Definitely could've used some more flavor, even just some salt. Some of the other reviews make it seem that my visit could've been an off day but I don't know if I would return.

Crust is actually a high end gin bar, with some good bourbon and tequila (the good stuff) and a few taps of beer. The place is cozy (bar sits 5-6) with a funky music vibe. Crust serves interesting breakfast and lunch sandwiches that are delicious, and Balls (the female bartender) is a great conversationalist.

Stopped in on a Friday for lunch during Hurricane Ian. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, staff was attentive and friendly. I ordered the Ghostface Fillah and tots. Food came out fairly quickly and the waitress checked in with me several times over the course of my meal. Cool little restaurant with a dope vibe. Will be eating here again!

Are you looking for amazing food? Nostalgia? Awesome customer service? This place ticks all the boxes-I cannot recommend it enough! PS: Do yourself a favor and try the mario brothers Mac and cheese. It is not to be missed!!
When I moved to Wilmington in Sept 2020 this was quickly one of my favorite spots in town to grab a sandwich and/or a cocktail. They had an exceptional approach to their menu and service. Unfortunately, something drastic has changed in the last 6-9 months or so. The food is not prepared with the care it once was. The service is spotty and slow, even when they aren't busy. My hunch is that the management is understaffing and stacking their staff with too much to juggle. It's still an okay spot. It just used to be great and it's been sad to see those higher standards gradually disappear.

I've been to crust several times but just getting around to writing a review. If you love grilled cheese this is the place for you! I had the little rascals which has fresh mozz, roasted tomatoes, basil, balsamic, and arugula on it. You can add fried chicken or prosciutto but I had the sandwich as is. The Parmesan sourdough crust is perfection! The only negatives are that the menu is ala carte now. Also the service was very slow and there was only one other table there besides us. It took us 30+ minutes to get our sandwiches. The server did mention that they had a new chef so maybe he was just trying to learn the ropes. Hopefully they'll be back up to speed soon.
