I came in to grab a pizza for later. I asked about the crust especially because there are so many different variations. He said it's NY Style crust. It was TOTALLY premade cardboard crust. They put a few tiny pepperoni on it. It THE WORST pizza I've ever had. I suggest you try pasta if you're visiting!!!

Contrary to the abnormal amount of 1 star reviews, my family's experience at Fat Tony's was wonderful. When we walked in, the restaurant was empty. Our friendly waitress, Kendra, along with the one who shadowing her, helped our table. After we ordered our food, it came out within a few minutes. It was piping hot. We go the mozzarella sticks, which were crispy on the outside and hot and gooey on the inside. Our entrees came out shortly after, in big portions. My chicken alfredo was nice and creamy, My father's BLT was full of bacon and came with beautifully crisp fries. The Stromboli was huge, but also very good. Our only trivial issue was that the prices were maybe a little expensive, but the food makes up for that. We will definitely come back when we're in the area.

Every time I’ll go to Wilmington I will definitively go to Fat Tony’s ! Best pizza, best fried calamari and best service! I don’t know the waiter name but he was so friendly so good manners and welcoming smile! My son’s wanted to go the day after again!!!

Giving it a 3 star for food. Trust me, awesome food. Giving it a 2 star for service. Went in on Sat evening and wanted a drink and to go food. Bartender was rude, abrubt and basically said "we close in 15 min so hurry the hell up" Never came back to check on us, had to flag her down to get check, and when she brought food, threw it down saying "have a good night" so almost felt like a racial issue. Recommend the food, but be cautious of the bartender serving. Make sure to tread lightly with order, and to not expect quality service. If you agree to this you're good.

Came here on a Saturday night of St. Pattys Day weekend. They had an open table and my party had 10 people. The server was nice but the food and how long for the food to come out was not good. We ordered a few appetizers and it took almost an hour for them to come out. We wanted the calamari but by 7:30pm they were already sold out. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was incredibly dry with no sauce on it. The fries were good. Overall most of my party was disappointed in the service and food quality.

Skip it! The service was terrible. We had to sit inside since their outdoor patio was packed. Menu was pretty basic with pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and a few Italian meals. We ordered the crab dip and chicken tenders for apps. They took 40 min to arrive. When our meals arrived, our waitress got a few meals incorrect and missed my order completely. I waited ~10 min after everyone got their meal to get mine. I was not impressed by the chicken parm sandwich. It was small and not stuffed with much chicken. The meatballs were probably the best part of the meal but they were also pretty average. My boyfriend had the pulled pork and it had no bbq sauce on it so it was super dry! There are so many other great spots on the same street; not worth it!

Bar is an old time wooden beauty. The wait staff are knowledgeable and efficient.If you sit on the back porch, you can see the river and bring your puppies.
I work downtown & eat here at LEAST once a week! They never disappoint. Food & service is always 10/10!!

We came on a Friday night at 6pm and I anticipated it being busy, but it was completely dead. (I am a mom with 2 young kids from High Point, NC….I don’t know the know the culture here…perhaps this is normal). By the time we got pushed out of the place at 6:54, it was 1/2 way full with no line.Yes….pushed out. We were asked at 6:40 if there was anything else we needed. I had a full alcoholic drink, I was still eating, my son was still eating, his soda was empty, and my daughter was still picking at her pizza. It was a question that comes at the end of the meal where the meal is 90% done and there are scraps left and everyone seems blissfully full. “Umm, we are good, thanks. Actually,Can my son get a refill?” What? He wants more? Is what it felt likeAt that point, I realize, we are in a time crunch. I look around..::there is an empty 4 top and an empty 8 top. Certainly they don’t need our table, right? Then why the need to kick us out? To make an extra buck in tips? Well….there wasn’t anyone waiting for our table…..All I know is, my kids and I were definitely an inconvenience to our server, Lizzy. Don’t worry, I was sure to give her a 20% tip to apologize to her for bothering her. I hate that for her.Unfortunately in our rush to leave, I forgot to get dessert. When she asked if she could start cleaning off our table (mid bite), I was so flustered I just said of course and handed her my card. Forgetting all about my, I mean my kids’ sweet tooth.But the food was amazing. The meatball sundae!!! I will take the watch watching of Lizzy just for a bite of that deliciousness. My daughter was hesitant to try it, but once she took a bite she devoured it in20’seconds flat and scraped her plate and everyone else’s.The pizza-the nostalgia of the frozen Tony’s Pizza mini pepperoni that curls up when cooked..I mean. It is wonderful. And the espresso martini was delightful.So, the food….. it makes up for the fact that they rush you through. Just don’t expect to be able to hang out.
