Food was alright, not incredible but it was a decent meal. Servers were nice, the place was slammed packed and made me feel a bit clostrophobic. Didnt accept card only cash. Brought my food home and did enjoy the grilled biscuits those were great!

Food was ok, service was a mixed bag of nuts lol The waitress with the purple glasses was AMAZING-super friendly and attentive. The older one with the curly hair was rude and frankly mean. She basically just threw our plates on the table without a word and walked away never to return. She literally gave EVERY table in the joint a refresher of their coffee, and totes blew off the Hubster who was left with an empty cup until ? ? lady came and refilled his ☕️. Not sure what her deal was, but it reflected poorly on our experience, and therefore the stars I was able to give them. If?? was our only waitress I would haven given more stars ?Vegetarian options: Veggie options a plenty lolParking: Lots of spots ? ? ? ? ☺️ ?Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level

I put four stars only because I wish the diner was a little more bigger.

This is a great breakfast spot. It's small, but the food and service are excellent. The pancakes and biscuits and other bf items are some of the best in town. I've never had lunch there. On the way out I met some other people from here that said they'd been coming here, since before I was born, and had never had breakfast there, but loved their lunch. Guess I'll try the lunch next time.

Classic diner. Omelet was fluffy!! Yummy! Sausage gravy tasted good and a little too thick for my taste. My wife's ham steak was delicious. Met a friend from out of town and easy to converse and enjoy each other's company. We'll come back for sure.

Didn’t see Ernie on the grill the other day which was a bit disappointing but still 10/10 food, speed, and service. Truly the quintessential eastern north carolina diner

This place has been in business almost 50 years, but I have not had their food until yesterday. The omelet was excellent: fluffy, and not greasy. Great sides, including some of the best biscuits I've had in a restaurant. It is a diner, similar in layout to a Waffle House, but a bit nicer with great ventilation. Service is spotty; it just depends on who you get

CASH only! Came in around 8:15am on a Friday morning and there was one booth and four counter seats open. It's a small place as it already is. By the time it was 8:30 AM, more booth seats opened up. Didn't have any issues being ignored by the staff, in fact the opposite. The waitresses and the staff member that was cleaning up the tables were all awesome. It's clear that they all work together, helping each other out and treat each other with respect. It's a hole in the wall diner, but don't let that fool you. Ended up sitting at the counter which was nice to watch the cooks cook the food. They had an organized system set up with one person cooking the eggs and two people on the grills with one of the grills for the bread and biscuits. We had the veggie omelette (comes with cheese of your choice) and the two egg dish. Both came with either toast (rye, white, or wheat) or biscuits, hashbrowns, shredded, or diced. Added bacon for an upcharge. Before cooking the omelette, they mix/froth the eggs for a few minutes. The veggie omelette was great, the eggs were fluffy, and there was plenty of cheese. Biscuits are not to miss. They're buttered and grilled, adding a crispy exterior. I could eat tons of these every day! They served them with grape and strawberry jelly, but they tasted good just on their own. The shredded hashbrowns were crispy, delicious. The whole meal was filling. One of my new favorite breakfast spots. Now if they could just accept credit cards, then it would be perfect.

If you like salsa, ask for some for your omelet. It's made in house and is delish.
