I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I came in yesterday during my lunch and I was not happy at all with what I purchased and the customer service. For one I bought a bbq burger with fries because that's my go to when I try new places. The burger itself was burnt and the bacon that came on the burger was burnt to a crisp. Not to mention the fact that the fries tasted like it was fried in fish oil. Since it was my lunch break I was not physically able to go back and get a refund so I went after work. I talked to the manager about getting a refund on the food because it was not good he then asks me what's wrong with the food so I tell him. he Then tells me since it's been 2 hours he can't refund the money he can give me a giftcard. Now riddle me this, if the food isn't good the first time what makes you think id want a gift card for the restaurant. So I tell him I'd never eat there again I'd rather have my money a gift card is no good for me. He then keeps saying " mhm well I still don't understand what's wrong with the food, what's wrong with the burger?" I hope the owner sees this. The worst experience I've had in a while. I want my refund like that's b******** I don't want no f****** gift card because I paid my hard earned money and that's what I expect. oh yea the bald headed guy with the beard refused to give me any information so I could report him and get my refund.

Came here with some people while visiting Wilmington for the weekend. The only reason I decided to give this 3 stars is because the kitchen apparently lost our ticket and we had to wait almost 2 hours for our entrees. However, the food was really good minus the she crab soup. It tasted more like a microwaved chowder of some sort. I had the seafood platter as an entree which was delicious. Very well seasoned and the shrimp/scallops were on point. They gave us free dessert and a small discount on our bills for the inconvenience of our 3 hour visit. The bread pudding and creme brûlée were very good and all the other desserts at the table looked just as good. 5 stars for the food, but 2 stars for the service. I'd probably come here again knowing that the odds of losing our ticket again is slim.

Nice place for dinner. Wait staff was friendly and they are clearly under staffed like many places. We totally understand. We ordered Brie in Pastry as appetizer. Sorry I was too hungry and didn't take any pictures . It came with toasted crostini, which tasted great even without any Brie or jam. I got JL's braised short rids. It was a good size portion. Short rid was super soft and flavorful a perfect match with their slightly chunky mashed potato. Husband got their broiled seafood platter. We are from Maryland and has been spoiled by all the amazing nickel sized filled jumbo lump crab cake, and the crab cake are usually tennis ball sized. JL's seafood platter was a disappointment. Shrimp and Scallop weren't too bad, good sized and juicy. Catch of the day fish was Mahi-mahi. Both fish and crab cake were over cooked and very dry. The sauce they gave us isn't enough to help us swallow the seafood down. Crab cake was full of filler, only has a couple dime sized crab meat. The menu said the seafood platter comes with crab fries. Kinda a False advertisement. they called old bay seasoned fries crab fries. We were excited to try it till it came to our table... no crab on fries!

We dined at Johnny Luke's last night and it was wonderful. Great wine and good selection of salads and entree. We started with their baked Brie. Yum! Then we shared salmon and salad. It was so good. Their mushroom risotto excellent!!!! Finished it off with creme brûlée. It was just divine. Definitely recommend this place!

We were excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews. We had a reservation for a table in the upstairs area and we were delighted with where we were seated. The hostess was incredibly welcoming as was the upstairs staff. The menu had a lot to offer my picky family which is always a plus. We had a brand new waitress that was very awkward and nervous and could have used some extra training. We waited an extended time to place our order while the waitress stood at the bar and then she talked at the bar for 10 minutes while my husband's beer sat there getting warm. I hope she gets the hang of things as this place has a fun vibe and the food was delicious.

Brie in Pastry is the best $14 I've spent on food in years. Buttery Kosher Brie baked in a golden light puff pastry topped with your choice of jalapeno berry or mixed berry jam. Served with apples, pears and toasted crostini.

We live in Wilmington and absolutely love Johnny luke's! Fantastic food, great cocktails, and beer selection. Brie in pastry is must have and they truly have the best Cuban sandwich in town. Great variety in their menu to please anyone, and they definitely don't skimp on the quality. On of our favorites!!

Outstanding!! Legit food and amazing service. We have been here twice for lunch this week. Caitlyn and Ladoska were our server /bartenders. Both absolutely amazing. We have tried Jane's addiction with chicken and again with shrimp. The lambchop appetizer and side salads are also to die for. The recipes all have family histories. If you like meatballs, try the sandwich or take the meatballs and sauce home for the family. Everything is homemade and extremely fresh!

Food service and drinks were amazing. Lemon raspberry martini to start, and I had the seafood platter with Maui Maui, shrimp, scallops and a crab cake. The seasoning was a bit heavy on the old bay but tasty nevertheless. I asked for the vegetable instead of fries and they were green beans and red pepper cooked al dente. My friend had lobster risotto which was flavorful and creamy along with bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops with a chili sauce. Would go back when visiting.
