Other than being out of five menu items when we visited and being served on paper plates and plastic flatware (why I didn’t give 5 stars), everything was really good—seasoned just right, ample portions, very friendly staff. Hubby LOVED the smothered turkey wings. I had the fried shrimp. Would visit again. Hate I didn’t take pics.
This not real soul food. What I and my wife experienced was not good, I am a chef and have been cooking for 43 years. And this is the worst I have ever eaten , our food served on plastic plate. After spending 36 .00 . My wife ordered baked spaghetti it was not baked spaghetti.we ended up taken to go. And put it in the garbage. It wasn't worth the time or anything. We and others that I know. Will not ever eat there again. Please you make out better eating at McDonald's

I never leave reviews but my second experience I felt one was definitely needed. I went back because the first time I had the oxtails they were great. I went back this week and got a plate for my kids and I. When I bit into the middle it was ICE COLD. When I called to tell them the response I got was “the chef said he’s sorry, just put it in the microwave for 15 minutes”. As a chef myself this is one of the worst responses I’ve ever heard. I will not be returning! Nor will I refer anyone else.

Southern home cooking at its finest. Everything I had was phenomenal. Ladies in the back are sweet and personable. I am well versed in Southern cuisine, as my mom and grandmother are culinary wizards. This place does not disappoint. Perfect place to go after church.

This is easily by far the best soul food buffet I've ever been to. It was authentic, fresh and old school soul food. Pigs feet, chittlins with the hog maul mixed in, ox tails, greens, turkey wings, black eye peas and the Mac and cheese was almost as cheesy as my grandmas and soooo much more. They also allow people who have no money to order a prepaid plate. I live in Jacksonville and will make the hour drive again with pleasure.

We appreciate them allowing us to dine in as we realized upon entering the hours on Yelp are not correct. Call first to check the hours. We were served fairly quick. I had the pork chop meal and my children shared the chicken meal. Both were nice sized portions for the cost. It comes with rice and gravy but you also get to choose two sides. The green beans are way too salty so beware if you need to avoid high sodium dishes. The yams were tasty and we loved the cornbread.
