I’m pretty astounded at the 4 star rating this place has, this was a pretty bad cheesesteak. There was not much meat, the meat was dry and tough to chew, and it was swimming in way too much cheese (a phrase I thought was impossible). They charge an extra dollar for lettuce, an extra dollar for tomato, and an extra dollar for mushrooms. In my opinion, those are just normal cheesesteak toppings and definitely not worth an added three dollars. The fries were fine but over seasoned. My cheesesteak, fries, and diet soda was $34 but I ordered it on doordash so you always expect that to be more expensive. Even so, that seems really high for what I got. I won’t order from here again.

Nothing bad to say about this place. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice, the server was attentive and informative, and the prices were decent. It's an okay place to bring your kids, too. My son is 12 so he wasn't being loud or unruly like smaller kids can be, but the atmosphere is pretty chill so I would be okay bringing younger kids in as well. I could not understand why the place was so empty. There were a few people at the bar, 1 gentleman dining alone, and a small table of people near where my friend and I sat. A couple people came in for to-go orders and then 2 or 3 more people came in as we ate, but that was it. It was wild considering every restaurant on either side of them had a 30 - 40 something minute wait time and we were able to just walk in and sit down. I got the regular cheesesteak, added bacon, a side of the Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, and fries. My friend got the Bird in the Nest burger and the cheesesteak fries. My kid got the chicken tenders and fries. My son loved the pinball machine they had. They also had a Pacman game, but he didn't play that. The machines take card and might take dollars, but no coins, even though there is a change machine there.

I ordered catering for a staff of 15. It was a build your own cheesesteak bar. They enjoyed it very much. I personally didn't get to try one but there was plenty enough food and something new for catering.

**LENGTHY REVIEW**let me begin by saying- customer service and communication can carry a business a very long way. You never know who is watching you, nor who a person could be- therefore every customer should be treated equally, no different from someone simply purchasing a drink or someone coming to order two philly's and fries. Money is money, and being spent in this establishment is something that I hope my review encourages you to decide wisely on your own. Now, my experience here has been flawed because I have both ordered via doordash and ordered take out. Using doordash was an interesting route, but I am certain that my food did not come from a different establishment, however the quality of what I ordered EVERY time was different. Crazy right?! I have only ordered the same thing each time, a plain steak philly with cheese mayo and lettuce with the occasional option of onion with a side of fries. The first couple of times it seemed as if the meat was finely chopped and cooked with the cheese? Making for a good chew and easy to swallow. This recent visit, I had ordered the same exact thing and it seemed to be a larger cut of beef, rather tough, extremely difficult to chew and even harder to swallow. Like any paying customer, because let's be real for the price you pay here you would expect an exceptional meal, since everything is sold separately; I am certainly going to inform management. How it was handled, not the best experience I have encountered- but who's complaining when the owner says he will replace your meal on the house. The lack of empathy given over the phone was disappointing, especially coming from the owner and in person not any better- seeing as how a simple request for ranch seemed to be too taxing a task, even when the restaurant was empty (one table inside and one table outside in use). Crazy right?! Walking to the back of the house to pour ranch into a 2oz ramekin was so beneath the man at the bar, he instead informed her that he did not have any and had other customer's to take care of, proceeds to fill half a beer and walk to the kitchen anyway. Pictured below are images of the REMAKE of "lunch on Chap" where we called in around opening, in order to pick up around 1pm. I am pretty sure that I have reached my maximum sodium intake for the month and the fries tasted as if they were made when we placed the order and drowned in enough pepper to clear the sinuses.Needless to say, Port City Cheesesteak seems to be the type of establishment that you waste money in when you have already begun to drink and do not care what the cost or quality of what you consume will be like.Parking: Was able to pull up to the front

This is a neat little restaurant that I've heard a lot about. What I've heard is that their cheesesteaks are really good. The service was wonderful. I'm not going to say how my daughter's and my cheesesteaks were until I try it again.

Only picture you need to see.For some reason, from the outside, doesn't seem like much. But trust me, worth it. Get the onion rings - that honey mustard though. The sweet potato fries - yes please. Ray was fantastic as our bartender. Legit Green Tea shot. Taught him who Art Monk was. Thank you for great service! Chap, wife says go Washington Football team!

Fast delivery. Delicious buffalo chicken philly and seasoned fries! There was not so much sauce that it only tasted like hot sauce, like many other restaurants, but wasn't dry either. Loved it and will be ordering again!
