Currently closed (as of 4-2--22). We had a fine meal there (6 in our party). I am sorry to see that it is closed. I need to write my reviews quicker

So disappointed, I met a friend for appetizers and drinks. Salad was good, but we both had the Beef and Brussels appetizer and we were both disappointed. We were never asked how we wanted the beef cooked, so I probably shouldn’t have been surprised when it came out well done and very tough. We shared a dessert (cheesecake) which was delicious, but after one appetizer, 1/2 dessert and 3 glasses of wine my bill alone was almost $80 ?.

Disappointed. Had a reservation for my wife's birthday for tonight made through Open Table. Got an email a couple hours before saying the restaurant had cancelled the reservation. Pretty tough trying to find another place to eat on short notice.

Great food and service. Next time I'm in Wilmington I will definitely go back. Steak was perfection and their oysters are top shelf.

Place is closed for good. Is still taking reservations on line. Made them for April 16th pulled up, there is a sign on the door. Closed as of the 14th of April. Staffing issues.

Made reservations for each evening during Easter week. Showed up for our reservation and the doors we locked with a sign saying closed because of staffing. Would have appreciated a call so we could have made other arrangements. Went across the street and we were graciously accommodated by Port Land Grille.

I love this restaurant and made this reservation assuming the same great past experiences however after confirming our reservation we arrive at the restaurant only to find a sign on the door saying they had closed a day prior due to staffing. I completely understand the difficulties restaurants are facing but at the very least inform open table and do not ask for a confirmation. On the day of the reservation when you are already closed. I will try again but was disappointed as we were celebrating a special event.

We arrived and discovered the restaurant was closed for good apparently. It would have been nice if the management had let reservation holders know so they wouldn't expect to eat there. Anniversary dinner ruined....

If you're in town for a visit or live local. Port City Chop House is a must go to spot for a high end, steak or seafood dinner. The skilled cooks and kitchen staff know how to cook a steak.

It was another date night that was great. We had reservations there was no problem. The wait staff was very proper. Very bougie ? but in a great way. Service was great food was even better. Definitely will go again

We were seated in the bar, which was disappointing considering we had a reservation. The bar was crowded so the noise was terrible. Overall the food was good, but not great. It seemed like the menu and food was not as good as the last time we dined there. The desert menu was uninspiring. Also, the decor appears to be a bit dated and in need of a refreshing. We sat in a booth and when we sat down it appeared like you hit bottom as the seats were so worn out. Wilmington needs a premium steak house which Port City Chophouse has historically been. After our recent visit it felt like they are living off of their reputation rather than continuing to innovate and improve.

It started out as just a regular date night but then my boyfriend asked me to be his wife and turned the dinner into a special occasion! Thanks for providing such a wonderful atmosphere and great food to add to my memorable night.

My mom and I came in to dine this evening, it was our first experience and it was wonderful! We had a 630 reservation and we were sat immediately. The atmosphere was a feeling of intimacy and class. You sat down feeling like you were at a 5 star restaurant. The staff was beyond attentive. Our server was Erick D. and he was epitome of professionalism, knowledgeable, class, experience and kindness. He went over the menu with us. He gave recommendations. We both had Filet mignon and the presentation was beautiful. My mom had the traditional rare filet and I had Au Poivre as my touch to the filet. He knew when to approach the table and when to give us space. My mom hasn’t resided here a long time and we found the place because it was in the Wilmington magazine!!! Sometimes though little magazines pay off!!! This one sure did. We will be back again for sure. I recommend this place !!!
