The person on staff was nice enough. Latte was ok. The blueberry muffin was old tasting, gummy on top and tasted like it had freezer burn or had been kept around too long. It seems like it's impossible to get quality pastry items with a coffee anywhere outside a major city.

Rude staff. After most drinks and food were out I asked for the coffee I ordered thinking maybe it was overlooked and was met with a rude " we are busy" comment followed simply by placing my coffee that was ready on the counter.

Waited forever. Got my "Americano"with heavy whipping cream. Sooo hot couldn't drink it. 30 min later took a sip tasted awful. Opened it up they basically did black coffee with no HWC.

I have been to this location several times and always have a good experience, but I wanted to highlight a specific employee for his incredible kindness and customer service. His name is Jake and he is always such a pleasure to deal with. When I was in the other day, I witnessed such a sweet moment with Jake and a customer. I was waiting for my coffee drink, and this elderly man approached the counter who looked like he was having a bad day. His face lit up when he saw Jake and said “Hi Jake it’s so great to see you here today!” Jake also remembered the customers name who was getting a refill on a coffee. Jake rinsed out the customers mug while chatting with him and replenished it with fresh coffee. They chatted back-and-forth and the man walked away with a huge smile on his face. You could tell that Jake made a positive impact on his day and it was so wonderful to watch! Jake is always cheerful and genuine and it made my day to see a young man care about his customers so much!Dietary restrictions: Love the gluten free oatmeal! :)

Just went through the drive-thru with a mobile order and it took 17 minutes and when I got to the window the lady tried to ask me for money when I already paid online horrible horrible service not to mention only 2 cars ahead of me way too long to wait for ordering ahead one coffee

Love this port city Java!!! I have one right by my home in Hampstead and choose to drive other way to work to stop at this one in porters neck!! Everyone is extremely nice and helpful! Although one stands out every time he is working and that is Jake!! He remembers me every time even if I haven’t stopped for a cpl days! Today I wasn’t feeling great and he helped me put a huge smile on my face with his compassion and personality!! I wish I could give him 10 stars or more personally!! Thank you porters neck PCJ and a huge thank you to Jake!!! ❤️

I just recently moved back to Wilmington and I was so excited to grab PCJ on the reg again. This location is absolutely fantastic in every way; it is clean, friendly, and consistent! Every single one of the employees I have had the pleasure of interacting with have been nothing short of happy and helpful! My go to drink is the expresso freeze and it never disappoints! (Shout out to the baristas for continuously whipping up the best coffee in the 910!)
It's concerning when you let an establishment know that the Men's room is out of something so vital as toilet paper. And over half an hour later, nobody has gone in to replenish the toilet paper. Since it is an all female staff, I guess that might not matter to them.

The manager Olivia must be the owners daughter- why else do they keep getting complaints and her not being fired? I got two bad smoothies from this location got called a liar and got told to never come back!! ? In all my years of working in customer service I’ve NEVER ever treated a customer in such ways! Or told them to never come back over something so small. Nor have I ever been treated this way ever before….I will never recommend this location to anyone and I will sing like canary to everyone in this tiny town at how port city java thinks it’s ok to call their customers liars and that they are hiding something!

Stopped by for coffee and a sandwich after a bike ride. I was pleasantly surprised by the coffee which really hit the spot. This isn't fancy pour over coffee but a nice aromatic warm cup with good flavor. I'd pass on the food though. Ordered an egg and cheese on a bagel - after a third attempt at the correct order, I finally got an underwhelming sandwich that I couldn't finish. I'd come back for the coffee, and overall this is a solid spot.
