My jambalaya was good; I have no complaints. It is just that I had several better meals on my vacation at similar prices.

We chose this restaurant due to the reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. The waitress recommended the shrimp and grits and they were the best that I have ever had; creamy and perfectly seasoned. My husband got the fish and chips , which were actually fries. He still enjoyed the beer battered fish. Most people don’t comment about tea, but their tea tasted freshly brewed and not overly sweetened .

Asked the waitress about the fried scallops, if they were bay or sea scallops she said they were sea scallops. Food came out only to find out the TINY chunks of scallops, not enough to make a whole scallop. Told the waitress I had the wrong order as i thought maybe it was fried clams or something. She she no that the were sea scallop chunks! What Bull Sh.., Would have sent it back but I was with a group of friends and didn't want to spoil their lunch.

We ate the best dinner we’ve ever had and the service was stellar! We had the crab dip, both soups (roasted red pepper and crab bisque plus the chowder), jambalaya, and New Bedford scallops. Plus key lime pie and their specialty chocolate dessert. And we would order the same things next time. All the staff was so friendly and helpful, and our sweet enthusiastic waitress was just the best.

I read other reviews and decided to give this place a try for myself. I was not disappointed. The crab legs were amazing along with the crab cakes. Very friendly staff.

My lad and I chanced upon the Cape Fear Seafood while in Wilmington on business. We both had salads (excellent) she had the Roasted Red Pepper Crab Bisque & I settled for the Muscles appetizer. BOTH OUTSTANDING!! If you happen to be around be sure to give ‘em a try.

Great entrees, drinks, salads and service, although an error by the kitchen seemed to unnerve our server, who accidentally poured water into my half-empty lemonade, The latter, by the way, was a bit too tart. Fair prices, too.

This is a regular location for us when we visit Kure Beach. The menu is very large, they have nightly specials and the food is good. The service is always outstanding.

We could not have been more pleased with our first experience at Cape Fear Seafood Company! One of us is medically allergic to gluten, and the server (Gabrielle) was very knowledgeable and patiently explained the various gluten free options on the menu! The owner/manager even came to our table to assure us that the kitchen was well aware of the gluten allergy. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant had a great vibe! We were so impressed, and the food was great! We will definitely be back! A definite five-star and “highly recommend”!

I would go back! We went for a late lunch on a Tuesday, our server was Ben and he was great! I had the lunch shrimp and grits and it was really good, rich but good. My husband had the flounder basket and we really enjoyed our meal. The hushpuppies alone were worth the trip. Don’t forget dessert! We had the crème brûlée and it was amazing.

We had Fried Okra and Calamari for appetizers and they didn't disappoint. The Jambalaya, Fish and Chips (one of the best we have had so far) and Salmon Alfredo were all excellent. The servings were generous and the atmosphere was just right. Jason, the bartender/server was very attentive and pleasant. The receptionist was very pleasant and friendly as well Our overall experience was excellent. We recommend.

Something is going on in the kitchen at Cape Fear Seafood Company. When we visited the restaurant when they first opened, the shrimp scampi was divine. This visit it wasn't even scampi. Scampi is a style and method of cooking involving shrimp sauteed in olive oil. My dish seemed to be maybe steamed or boiled shrimp in a creamy, garlicky sauce over linguini. The dish was good. Just not scampi. So disappointed. Just be aware that this will not be the scampi you were anticipating. Also served with two pieces of burned bread. Come on Cape Fear Seafood, step up your game! The service was excellent, as usual ,and the food came out quickly and was hot. The quality of the fish was very fresh and not frozen. I will return, but will order something that is plainer.

Hush puppy appetizer with butter was a great start. Filet, red potatoes and green beans were very good. Clam linguini was good as well. Service was a little slow but they were very busy. A repeat.

This is not the first time that we have visited this location. We have eaten here at least twice a year for the past three years. My meal was fine, the Smoked Salmon Alfredo. My wife ordered the Mixed Greens salad with a smoked salmon cake. The salad arrived with bacon on it, which is not listed on the menu. When the salad returned, it was not spring mix, but rather Romaine. The cucumbers were dices so small that I had to laugh. There were no red onions on the salad, which were also listed on the menu. If substitutions are going to be made, the kitchen should inform the wait staff so they can advise the customer before surprises arrive at the table. I get it, supply chain issues but that does not square with poor service.

This was our best seafood meal during our 14 day trip in the Wilmington, Southport, Pleasure Island area. The scallops were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Wish we had eaten her more than once during our trip.
