This is my first time eating here. Lots of hype but it's not far off from deserving it. I wasn't able to take pictures... So here you go. I was eating with 4 people from Boston (2 first timers including me) . When I ordered the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and bacon jam. They all said ewe and then they ordered more. I had the chicken pot pie. It's not your mom's pot pie. Great gravy plenty of veggies and a perfect puff pastry on top. I could go on about what everyone else had... No need just go, you will not regret it.

The food at Rooster and the Crow was undeniably wonderful!!! My wife had the fried chicken and I had a Cobb salad and I can't say enough about how delicious they both were!! The staff was awesome! Definitely one of my favorite spots!!

We started our meal off with fried green tomatoes. They were very tasty. Then my husband and I ordered the fried chicken with collards and another side. Our waiter was Brian he was great at keeping up with my water drinking. Near the end of our meal we met Alecia she’s originally from where we live. They were both very nice. We appreciate the service we know they were very busy and trying their best. We will be back.

They should just serve fried chicken. It was really good, so I’ll give’em that. Would’ve been better if it didn’t come out lukewarm but that is an unfortunate reality of restraints these days regardless of how dead or busy they are. Service staff is not what it used to be. Anyways, everything else we ordered was average and nothing special. We had the wings (came out overly dry on the inside probably because the kid frying them doesn’t know the right time to pull them), nachos that rival what you might get at a sporting event, and a salad that was as generic as a blank sheet of paper. Oh the coleslaw was pretty darn good too. So if you like fried chicken you won’t be grossly disappointed. Just ask them to bring it out as soon as it comes out of the fryer and you might get it before it cools off and loses some of its amazingness.

Good southern food. The Mac and cheese was very creamy and cheesey. I appreciated how much pulled pork came on top of the Mac and cheese. Probably not the best meal I've ever had but definitely not a bad choice for family dinner or date night

This restaurant is lovely. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. We tried their chicken sandwich, the famous fried chicken, and the shrimp over grits. They were all very good. The latter dish is one of the best I have tasted anywhere. The place is clean, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Overall, I recommend trying this place at least once.

If, for some unfortunate reason, you ever find yourself on death row in Wilmington, your last meal should be fried chicken, collards, and Mac and cheese from Rooster &the Crow.Even if you end up in the other place, you will have tasted heaven on earth.

As a 64 yr old native of N.C., I had never tried chicken and waffles. I sat outside so I could see my bike, and everything was excellent! The service, people, food - even the weather made for a good day! Would recommend!!

The fried chicken dinner was delicious and juicy! I can't say enough about it! It was enough for 2 people! The Mac and cheese delicious! My daughter got the fried chicken and waffles she only ate half, but she loved it! Again enough for the next day! My husband got the chicken pot pie he didn't love it. I would go back for sure. Please watch where you park! Biggest pain in the neck! You can't park along the waterfront. You can only park at the end of the brick building (chandlers wharf) and then you have to scan the code inside of the rooster and the crow and remember your license plate for parking. They do give you a few hour credit. But after searching for a parking spot we then had to go move the car! It was just a pain. But did was very good.
