Came back to Sweet and Savory. It has changed to the high end since last review. The menu had great variety of food. Our choices were over the top GREAT. We were greeted and seated by Blaine. A very pleasant way to start our dining experience. There is an excellent choice of beers, local and national drafts that are $2.99/pint. No where else in 3 counties has this price on this variety of beer. Its FANTASTIC. Nice list of interesting mixed drinks. The daily special choices were great. We ordered the carb cakes and half rack of ribs as our entrees. We were not disappointed. Homemade mashed potatoes and asparagus were served to perfection by Kristi. She is a friendly, competent server. The team that was on last night had their beans all in one can, seemed happy and delivered. Menu prices are very reasonable. Our bill before tip was 55.00!! Do not overlook S&S for deserts and treats. We got the salted Carmel brownies, they went well coffee this morning. Do yourself a favor and give Sweet and Savory a try. You will not be disappointed.

The pancake hushpuppies were the highlight! The food took way too long to come out. Around 30-35 min. A party of two and a party of 3 showed up after us, ordered after us, and got their food before us. The staff ended up apologizing and saying they weren’t sure why the food took so long. We just ordered an avocado toast to split. The servers were very sweet but the rest of the experience was bad. Also, the coffee tasted potentially burnt. We told them and heard one of them mention that they use a really strong coffee— implying that maybe we just don’t care for strong coffee? We prefer strong coffee. That was not the case here.

My husband and I eat here each time we vacation in Wrightsville Beach. This time we had a very good lunch of shrimp tacos and a fish wrap on April 22. We chose salads with house made blue cheese dressing as our sides. Salads were fresh, large and the dressing was full of blue cheese chunks. Service was good. I took one star off due to their sanitation rating of 91.5. I looked up their previous ratings online. Seems they consistently have issues with sanitation as shown by sanitation ratings going back a few years. You have to wonder why they cannot pull that rating up.

We were really looking forward to our visit but it was quite a let down. We tried the WB French Toast which was pretty good...but didn't live up to expectations. Coffee was so-so, homefries were bland and hardly warm, sausage way over cooked, in the end, definitely not worth going out of our way to visit. :(

I'll preface this with I'm sure they were short staffed and obviously there was a crowd, but if they can't keep up with orders then they shouldn't seat so many people or take to go orders.I met some friends for brunch. It took over 25 minutes for the waitress to come take our drink order. She was very apologetic. They were clearly very busy, so I went ahead and put in a to go order for my husband on my phone. After we finished at our table and paid, I waited at the to go desk. After 10+ minutes, someone came and asked if I needed help. I told her I was waiting on a to go order. She walked off. She came back about 5 min later, looked at the iPad on the desk, and said she just saw my order and hadn't put it in...no clue why she didn't check that when she spoke to me the first time. I was annoyed, but she apologized and I said it was fine and continued to wait. Finally, someone from the kitchen brought out the to go order, sat it on the cabinet, and walked away. A waiter walked up and I asked him if he could check and see if the food was my order. He completely ignored me and walked away. I had to flag down the hostess and finally got her to check the order.Again, I know they were busy, but then maybe don't seat so many tables and/or take to go orders. I left very frustrated.

I haven’t been here in a long time but chose it because it’s always been fabulous. I got a n order to go and got to French fries that had be cooked!! It was as if they had only been flash fried and not finished. And the gentleman up front told another customer “so sorry for the issue I don’t have the normal expediter.” Not a very good excuse to me. Unfortunately I will probably not go back or continue to recommend.

If Guy recommends it, ya gotta give it a try. The mimosa flight was great, all six choices, but after a while they tasted the same. The spicy burger was good, freshly made, no preformed patty. The chips and fries are freshly cut and lightly salted. You won't leave here hungry.

Love to brunch here. Family friendly, cute and cozy restaurant/cafe. Eggs Benedict is incredible. Tons of options for everyone. Breakfast shots are delicious. Cinnamon rolls are huge and great for sharing with the table.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly cafe and easy seating. Have high tops, tables and plenty of large booth options.

Sweet n Savory Cafe is the best restaurant in the area by far! Their food and staff are amazing. Coral was awesome and super polite. Their prices are great as well. It's always a pleasure to dine here for the night. I highly recommend going here if you are in the area!

Been for dinner a couple of times and loved it, but brunch was disappointing. Had the French toast which had the texture of frozen French toast bread sticks from the supermarket. Deep fried yuckiness. Hubby and friends were happy with their breakfast sandwiches so it wasn't all bad. Service was good, as always, but my suggestion to management would be if you're going to make the French toast a 'headliner', do better.
