I few years ago I would have said this was the best little airport/ cafe/ ect.. but over the last 6-9 months this place had slipped and stayed down...I fly monthly out of SFG..and while that nit as much as some it's still quite a bit....and my Goto had been the avacado toast but the last 3 times I've gotten it it was barely edible ...and today I couldn't even stomach it...the toast wasn't toasted, the bacon was flimsy and cold the tomatoes was a half inch thick and the egg which I ordered over med was more like easy - sunny side down...., they did offer to remake it but I never trust precooked food . So I told them to toss it...and for get it....I also didn't ask for a refund and that's because they lost my business indefinetly...

Really Impressive for airport food. I had a salad with chicken tenders. Tenders tasted homemade, if they we're definitely fooled me! Super fresh and delicious, love that salad had bacon and cheese. Didn't like the ranch (just regular bottled ranch taste) not a big deal. Bartender was great, I didn't catch his name. To be honest, this was better than a lot of the restaurants I ate at while visiting NC. Price wasn't bad either!

If I could give this place a negative star I would. Food was nothing exciting and the bartender was absolutely miserable. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Had to get our own silverware, and didn’t even ask how everything was. Never going back.

Slow, no drink menu, when asked about a drink menu. When asked about a drink menu the server said to look over at where the drinks are and thats what they have. No prices posted for any drinks. Over priced

A shout out to the staff at Tailwinds: even after having to deal with annoyed passengers whose flights are delayed or canceled, they still provide great service. I've only purchased coffee from them, so I can't vouch for the food. However, they deserve kudos for being the only coffee and breakfast place opened in the very early hours, serving a ton of (mostly unhappy) customers, and totally killing it.

This place is extremely under-rated on Google. The staff are great, the drinks are great, and the food is above average for airport food. I’ve been eating and drinking at Tailwinds since before the renovations and improvements and it’s a completely perfect location now - 3-years ago it was lacking, but the past year or so (since renovations) has been great.I’ll see them again next time I fly and recommend you do the same.

There are two tailwinds. The first one on the left as you walk into the terminal is a disorganized mess. My toast was cold and when I asked why it was 4 dollars more than the other tailwinds across the hall, the worker said, “That’s why I advise people not to eat at the airport.”

Tailwind in the renovated ILM Airport is reborn. First, hours are wrong on Maps. Deli opens at 5am. It's counter, made to order. Breakfast sandwiches are worth the airport price. They cook up fast and use quality ingredients. And, what you'll remember after ordering here, is the happy, friendly service. Staff always greet with a smile and engage in discussion. But they also keep the line moving. I tip great at this place because they deserve it.

Good burger flavor from what I’m sure is a frozen patty but doesn’t taste like one. Typical airport prices with good helping of potato wedges. Would eat here again since there’s basically no other choice at ILM.

Beautifully renovated in ILM, I stop through here most trips. Workers are extremely kind even at 5AM! I find the food to be reliably good and fairly priced, particularly for an airport.
