Fantastic, tasty, crispy, tender chicken. Moist pulled pork and the Brunswick stew was good too. Glad we stopped here on our trip home!

Excellent chicken, good service, fair prices and even senior discounts. Minor flaw is one cook who peppers some pieces heavier than others, too much for our taste.UPDATE 01/2024:Since the original report, Smithfields in Wilson has either changed formula or begun overcooking its chicken and seems to use a heavier oil than before.Golden brown chiken has become medium brown, crisp & flaky crust has become more flat & crushed in nature.Consistent size pieces have become nearly half sized on several occasions!We are guessing this is a local management issue, or the lack of consistent management at this store.
Went on tonight 12/4/2023, when i say the food was seasoned i mean seasoned to perfection, crisp chicken, I’ve never been to a SCNB where the food was BEYOND like this! I had to call and leave a positive review. Great job cooks!

Had a chicken tender snack plate, which is easily a meal for someone. Plenty of food and the chicken tasted really good! Also got an order of hush puppies and enjoyed them as well!

I love SCB but the prices are ridiculous. I seldom go bc of the prices. $18.16 for a BBQ and Slaw sandwich and a snack pack, and tea.
