It was a kind of a little expensive. It's more classic, I understand that.

This is at the Asheboro location. I had a very hard time navigating through the restaurant in my wheelchair, just to use the bathroom. Then we sat outside, in March, it was chilly, the prices were high for the quality, and portions, I had the chicken cordon blue, my chicken dry, broccoli way over cooked and the sauce, just gross. Also ordered kabob, not a kabob.. Meat on a stick, no veggies, that's not a kabob, and since when is Spanikopi two pitas with spinach and onions, not even pressed together just one on top of the other, and cut into 4 pieces...extremely displeased, and won't be returning. and prices were way to much for it all.. Please do better about being wheel chair accessible for future clients.

The food has never disappointed here, I've loved foods that I've never like before because of their preparation. The staff are very professional and polite, and never give any trouble. The atmosphere is a tad harsh, lots of bright white.

Something Different receives a 5 star review because they have all four of of my criteria covered. Service - was excellent with Southern charm. She called us sugar, sweetie, honey and cutie. She kept the beverages filled. And got the food order right. Food - the food was cooked to order, so it was hot and tasted great. They offer 2 daily specials see the picture of the menu. It was Thursday so they had BBQ Chicken and Hamburger Steak. You get two vegetables and a roll. Deserts were also made daily in house. Price - the daily lunch special was $12.99 = meat, 2 veggies and a roll. Ambiance- Clean, well lighted, up scale at a $$ price. Plenty of parking
The atmosphere was a little disappointing. Total silence, aging public. Yes, everything was very clean and neat. The food is not bad, simple. Nothing makes it worth visiting occasionally.

Something Different is like going to your Grandma's house. Great food, lots of love, simple, down-home environment. Every plate gets two home cooked vegetables with it, bottomless ice tea, and pretty large desserts. However, you'll be so full you won't be able to add desert unless you have the metabolism of a teenager. I had some great fried flounder with Cole slaw and fried cauliflower. It was super. The fried cauliflower is a little new for me and it was delicious! The staff is quick, friendly, and kind. This is a really super place to eat and you can tell it's an excellent value as the retiree crowd is quite present here. You really get some excellent food for the money. Also, from the menu, you can eat low fat, lots of veggies or go a little heavier with fried fish (in my case) or burgers, steaks, chicken or barbecue. Very diverse menu.

The catering here was top notch. The ladies were quick, kind, and were so helpful with quick cleanup. All of our wedding guests absolutely LOVED the food and would not stop raving about it all night- especially the veggie lasagna. The food was a hit with our guests and the staff was amazing with their communication. We would most definitely hire their catering services again!
