It's sad that this place is closing for good. I ate here today and the food was excellent. The brisket was super moist and had a great smoked flavor. Hushpuppies were amazing. Pulled pork egg rolls were packed full of pork and cheese. Very interesting take on an old classic. Sauce was good on its own too. I've ate here many times through the years and I thought I'd wrote a review. But no. So here it is. A little late. But it was good. And the place will be missed. It was packed with people and a huge ordering line.

I came here on (9/25/20) around 1:45pm with my co worker/friend. Upon entry, I looked around and noticed that tables were socially distanced. There is a big hand sanitizer bottle on the table by the entrance as well. For this restaurant, you order at the counter and your food is brought to you. It was our first time here. The lady at the register went over the menu giving suggestions on what to try. Two things she recommended that we ultimately got was the brisket and ribs. My friend got the ribs with collard greens as her side. It comes with coleslaw, hush puppies, and Texas toast. I got pulled pork and brisket. My side was fries. I also got hush puppies and Texas toast. The Texas toast is AMAZING!!! My friend almost got some to go. I can't even explain how good it was. Thankfully, you get two pieces! The first thing I tried was pulled pork and it was great. My friend tried it and enjoyed it Too. It was Well flavored. My fries were well Seasoned and I loved them. Neither of us liked the brisket. It was flavorless to us. My friend didn't like the ribs. She thought it was flavorless. I tried it and thought the same. I hate to bring race into it, but it matters and makes a difference. The cashier was white and us being African American didn't like her options. Culturally, the food preferences and taste differ. ‍ The hush puppies and beans (my second side since I don't like coleslaw) were alright. It was nothing exceptional. They have jumbo smoked wings that we plan to try next time we go. We saw them on a big tray before we left. Wednesday is Wing day, so it's $2 off chicken plates. We get the pulled pork again too. For us, we didn't like the brisket or ribs. But again that's coming from African Americans who enjoy flavorful foods. The cashier was nice though. She came by to check on us while we're eating to see if we needed anythingUpdate: When I went home and warmed up the brisket, it wasn't that bad ‍ Still not the best I've had.

So glad we stopped here while visiting! Portion size was huge but did not let down on flavor!

I've enjoyed Bib's for the last few years. They have the best brisket in town. Last night we decided to get carry out and bring it home. Bib's offered a really good deal on a family combo. Everything was packaged well and was still warm when we got home. This was my first time back to Bib's since the pandemic began. When I picked it up, all the staff were wearing masks and there was hand sanitizer at the front door. There are a lot of restaurants who are not taking the COVID restrictions seriously but Bib's seems to have their act together. I'll be back!

First visit to Bib's. I had the pulled pork + 2 meats, chose brisket and sausage. The sausage was nothing special. Could get this quality at any grocery store. The pulled pork was pretty good, and the brisket was tender. So why only 3 stars?? Nothing, I repeat nothing, had the slightest hint of smokiness at all! I can say it wasn't bad, and I will probably try Bjb's again, but it was very underwhelming for a place that advertises a 2013 Pitmaster award. The hushpuppies were very unique with an interesting flavor, and the white coleslaw was some of the best I've had, but that is not what your customers remembering about your BBQ joint! The meat doesn't measure up to Black Powder Smokehouse in Jamestown at all.

Listen man. Bib’s is absolutely not a place with good food. I had a BBQ chicken plate, potato salad, and Mac an cheese. The best part was the chicken even though it was tasteless on the inside. The sauce is what saved it to be perfectly honest, but it couldn’t cover for the whole meal. The potato salad included crunchy, half cooked potatoes. I literally couldn’t decipher the potatoes and relish within the dish. The macaroni and cheese was incredibly bland. I’d compare it to hospital food, but I figured it be incredibly disrespectful to hospitals. The most flavored item on my plate were the hush puppies and God do I wish they followed suit with the other items. I’ve never bit into a hush puppie and been met with an overdose of black pepper and salt. I’ve never been so disappointed in bbq in my entire life.
