Old Salisbury Rd Location review: I do recommend this place for breakfast, can't say the same for lunch. At 13:40 on 04/13/2024 I took my parents and myself to lunch. Precious was our server, she was prompt on greeting us, getting our beverages, giving us silverware and extra napkins. Waited a few minutes, she came back and took our order. Things go down hill from there. The food got delivered to our table by a different server and that server got us the condiments we needed. After that, we had no visits from anyone working there. My glass was empty for 8 minutes prior to me finishing my meal, and a total of 16 minutes from my glass being empty and us finishing our meal. The manager had walked past our table multiple times (we were next to the register) and he never checked on us or told Precious to check on us. So now I'm ready to pay, we have not seen Precious the whole time we've been eating therefore I have no check. I had to go to the register at 14:19 to get the check and pay for it. I asked the gentleman at the register if the manager was available, he went into the kitchen area and came back out saying the manager was nowhere to be found. The servers here know I tip very well due to me having respect for the hospitality field (I used to work in hospitality) usually 30-50% tip depending on the service (Precious did not receive this). Karen (sp?) and Sharron have been amazing when we visit there for breakfast. Pros: Food & most of the serving staff Cons: Management (remember great leader, great team) & Precious

*UPDATE* My dad and I went this past Thursday and it was awesome as usual. Thank you ?It was awesome from my point of view; however, if you have dietary restrictions such as low sodium, low sugar - maybe discuss your options with your server. Those ladies are great and can help guide you.

This place describes itself as Winston-Salem's best-kept secret. But, like lying to your boss or telling your partner that the outfit looks terrible on them, some secrets are better left unsaid. This was one of the most pathetic, unorganized, and Bland restaurants I've ever been to. Somehow, the servers managed to mess up three separate meals. Then, when they did get it right, the waiter blamed the kitchen rather than taking any accountability; before we left, when we brought it up to the manager,r he additionally took no responsibility and blamed the waiter. It is clear that under the new management and based on some of the reviews, this place has gone way downhill. There is no passion in this place; there is no commitment to being better; we paid $60 for cold food, the wrong order, and downright disgusting. As the manager heard our grievances, he did nothing to make up for it, not a discount, not an apology, nothing. The good thing is it's evident that the problem with this place is its management; there's a lot of potential as there is at least a theme to this restaurant. However, the theme is not good food, reasonable prices, or a desire to improve. Save your money and go across the street to Panera Bread. As you can see, one of the dishes looks like vomit-covered dog food. The chips were about as hard as they could be, the cornbread was as dry as the chips, and the chicken came out way too hot for our 5-year-old. The mozzarella sticks were $8. There were also no straps on the high chair, and the waiter didn't come to fill our drink until we asked.

Before substituting something on an online order, they should call the customer with options. Isn't that's why they require a phone number?Better than getting all the way home to find out you got something you don't want, or else you would have ordered it that way in the first place!

This is for the Cagneys on Old Salisbury Rd! We love this place. The waitresses and the manger are wonderful. The service is fast and the food is the best. I have eaten at other Cagneys and they don't hold a candle to this particular restaurant!! We also get takeout about once a week. Best Philly cheesesteak ever. Never had anything I didn't like there. Clean also.

this afternoon I was refused service due to my medical alert service dog. when I first came in I was seated and my service dog went under the table and against the wall. shortly after I was told to leave and when questioned why I was told the management refused service to those with animals. I took my children outside with a family friend to watch them and went back in to ask for more information as they have a sign posted on the door that service animals are allowed and my service animal was wearing a vest clearly marked service animal. at this point I was lead outside by the management and yelled at while being humiliated for asking clarification as to why I was refused service despite the law requiring equal service and the sign stating I was allowed service on the door. this establishment discriminates, humiliates, and belittles customers without a care. other locations are accommodating and accepting, however this location shouldn't be under current management. the insults, language, tone, and actions of the management were not professional but rather hateful and spiteful. I would recommend no longer supporting this location due to how openly they discriminate disabled patrons despite being across from the hospital as well as how little care is put in to make sure this is a safe environment for families.

This is by far the WORST restaurant I have ever been to. After being a patron of cagneys in kernersville for years and having several wonderful experiences, I thought to try the one on cloversale ave due to their convenient location, little did I know that I would be discriminated, belittled, cursed, and ultimately kicked out of the restaurant due to my disability. The owner himself took me outside to yell at me how he would not follow ADA law after having a server kick myself and my children out due to the medical alert service dog who was accompanying me. When asked to leave from the premises I put my children in the car before continuing the conversation to shield them from the discrimination I was faced with. Once I went back in to talk to the owner I was rushed outside of the establishment and belittled, yelled at, cursed at, and humiliated all because I pointed out the sign posted ‘service animals allowed’. Where I would recommend other locations this one should be shut down immediately due to the poor actions of the management there.

DO NOT Patron this establishment. This afternoon I witnessed a manager or someone of authority berating a woman with young children and a service dog. Said they would not serve them. I find this unacceptable and cannot believe someone would be denied service because of having a service dog. The woman should be given the same treatment as anyone without disabilities. I beg you not to give money to the Cloverdale Avenue Resturant. ADA should go in and educate the staff and management.

First time I've been to Cagney's in Winston-Salem. The food was excellent and the service was excellent even though they were very busy. The ambience is American casual.

Difficult to gauge the ambiance but the restaurant was very clean but does show some wear as it was EXTREMELY busy. We were still seated immediately. Our waitress was very prompt with great timing and customer service. This was the BEST eggs Benedict I've ever had bc they were not stingy with the Hollandaise. So long as you don't change that you guys will keep doing so well. Thank you for a great meal.

We used to love Cagney’s. Ever since they changed management a while back, their mediocre service has gone terribly down hill. We went in tonight and waited to be seated, and waited, and waited until we finally left after five different employees had looked at us, walked past us and never even acknowledged that we were there.
