The meatloaf was the best I've ever had anywhere! It was so tender and juicy! Most places it's tough and dry.

I'd only been here a couple of times, and only for lunch. Each time I chose to go through the small cafeteria line, about the same size as WestTown, there are some very good country cooking items on this line, and there are some daily rotations. But this time I chose to order from the menu (I still prefer table service like that available here), choosing a Double Bacon Cheeseburger with L, T, & M - $7.50 + $1.75 for the bacon! This is a very nice diner style burger - 2 well sized, tasty patties (not overcooked), a nice amount of cheese and bacon, topped with fresh, shredded lettuce and sliced tomato. The only slight down sides was the shredded lettuce (a bit messy to handle on a burger) and the bacon lacked crispness. This burger stacks up very well with the Bacocheese Burger served at TJ's, a sister restaurant just down the street - TJ's costs $9.19. Both of these burgers are in my top echelon of non-chain spots in the area - along with ones at Alex's (my No 1), Bobo's, Joe's Take-out, Midtown Cafe, PB's, and a few more. Service was friendly and attentive, time out of the kitchen was good, but both of these can become a bit problematic at peak periods, and the noisy level increases. Ambiance - 3.5 Food - 4.5 Service - 4 Value - 4.5

Ordered take out first time from here. I got pork tenderloin fried, mac and cheese, cabbage corn muffin. Mom got what she thought was country style steak, mac and cheese, and cabbage. It tasted like and looked more like Salisbury steak, mac and cheese tasted like half box half homemade I've had way better! Same with cabbage no flavor or seasoning with food, and corn muffins not good not sure if buttermilk was used. Food needs to really improve and have better seasoning and taste!!! Will not try nothing here again.Parking: Small space
