Delicious shepherd's pie, fish 'n chips, and Guinness can't be missed at this Irish treasure right in downtown Winston-Salem. Certainly got us in the mood for St. Patrick's Day, and we plan to return very soon!

The Ron's fried chicken was very delicious. Rootbeery was overpriced, and the scotch egg was not good at all. Shepherds pie has peas in it.

Finnigan's is your do it all Irish Pub that honestly every city of a decent size needs to have in their downtown area before it can really be called a downtown. Serving tasty pub style food by day, and slinging all manner of drinks by night (and of course during the day too), anyone of a certain age from this area has good memories of an evening, or many, spent here. These days, slamming back copious amounts of Guinness and scream-singing at the top of my lungs has mostly passed me by. But thankfully, the food at Finnigan's has not. I still love coming here for the scotch eggs, though occasionally they'll cook them just a bit too hard. The wings are some of the meatiest and best around, and I love some of the new twists on old menu items they've come forth with since re-opening after their short closure. For lunch and dinner, fish and chips is never a bad decision here, and I love the reuben. Again, an Irish pub just simply has to have a good reuben! The only thing I don't love here, though most seem to, is the spinach and artichoke dip. The last time I had it, just wasn't a fan... and I never met one of those dips that I wouldn't scrape every inch of the bowl to get the last bit. That's not enough to make me forget all the good times I have had here, the good food, and each stop in between. It's a local institution for sure, and deserves to be recognized as one!

They seemed understaffed. Lots of empty tables, but a long wait. Not much in the way of decor in the dining area, so not all that much of an atmosphere. The food was good. Fish and chips were a decent sized portion, Sheppards pie was a bit on the small side.Overall not the best Irish pub we've been too, but good enough to where we might go back if we are in the area again.Parking: Very limited free street parking, but several parking lots with paid parking.

Love love love Finnegans. Long time WS staple and was bummed to hear they closed .... and overjoyed to hear they reopened!! Food and drinks are still spectacular. Came on a Saturday night with friends around 9PM to get some food and drinks before going out for the night. great service all around. They even made us poutine even though it's not on the menu anymore. Everything was delicious - the fish and chips are stellar. On par with Gordon Ramsay's fish and chips in NYC. Loved the updated drink menu, I got a Barbie themed cocktail with glitter and that was both fun and delicious. Love that their menu has versatility while still staying true to Irish theme. Def a must visit in downtown WS!
