Well 2 years ago I posted the food had gone downhill. But today I have returned and the food was hot and fresh like it used to be. Excellent service! It costs a lot more but it was worth it today.

I've been eating at Hero House since it opened. Up until the last couple of years, they have maintained quality and the hometown feel that has made it an icon. The last few times, the overall quality has slipped but acceptable. This time, there is no other way to describe my food other than stale. The onions in my salad, stale. The lettuce seemed stale but the worse was the chicken. It literally tasted like it had been cooked hours before and left out on a counter. Even the crackers were stale. Please do better?
This is one of my go-to places when I go home. I can not come home and not stop by Hero House. The food is amazing, and it stays busy.
