Local is me and my friend's favorite spot to stop in for a quick bite. The sweet potato fries are a must-do. We always get those to share. The burgers are really great too and they have cool branding on the bun which I think is awesome and gives it style!! haha! I would definitely recommend this place. The staff is always bright and humorous too which adds to the whole experience!

I recently came to this restaurant with my PR team. It was the worst dining experience I've ever had. To start, the name of the restaurant is very misleading and strange for a place that basically only serves hotdogs, hamburgers, and "salads." We were disheartened to realize that the "assorted sodas" highlighted in the menu were nothing other than Coke products - not very local or artisanal. Secondly, the food was generally not good at all - It was bland and very low quality. The "toasted artisanal buns" looked and tasted like they were picked up at Walmart many weeks ago. The fries were very obviously from a freezer bag, however it was hard to tell because we got so few of them. The "jumbo shrimp" as advertised in the Po Boy were very small and there was very few of those flavorless pipsqueaks. The Po Boy also had wilted barely edible lettuce. My PR colleague's burger was over cooked, extremely small, dry, and tasteless. The veggie burger looked appetizing, but that is the only good thing I have to say about it. The sauce was rather flavorless, the avocado was rock hard, and it had to be eaten open faced due to its haphazard construction.The location is great and the decor was nice. We had plenty of time to admire the painting with the pumpkin house during the one hour wait for our food (despite being the only patrons in the back of the restaurant). The music in the restaurant fluctuated greatly between incredibly loud and barely audible. The sad, wilted plant in the corner accurately mirrored our emotions. The prices were very reasonable on the surface, however; after our experience, we realized we had been robbed of our money, appetites, and time.Our server was a disheveled woman named Mary. An earlier review that highlighted some of her inappropriate behavior proved to hold water, something she repeatedly forgot to bring to the table. Our food was brought out to us by another employee, who almost elbowed my colleague in the face while unnecessarily reaching across the table. I then asked him for some cocktail sauce for my bone dry Po Boy. After nearly finishing my meal, he returned with tartar sauce and claimed it was cocktail sauce. He then proceeded to make an offensive "joke" to our table which he and Mary, who was standing close by, found hilarious as evidenced by their unhinged laughter.Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back to this establishment ever again. The food was awful, the staff was unprofessional and, for the most part, absent, and the atmosphere was inexplicably hostile. There are many better places in Winston Salem that are deserving of you money and time.

Just got a delivery order, I ordered grilled cheese(add bacon) did the “make it a combo” option for $3 more. I asked for crinkle cut fries and a coke.. I did not receive my coke and the fries were the VERY thin and the small shoe string style fries not crinkle cut...I’m fine that the fries were a different style but it’s the fact they were WAY over cooked so they were hard and inedible. The actual potato inside was so fried it was no longer there.. I also paid $2 more for bacon so you’d expect more than 1 piece..,but nope only 1. Not even a piece for each layer of the grilled cheese(there are 3 pieces of bread). I tried to call just to let them know(I really don’t want any compensation or anything because I understand accidents do happen) but the phone doesn’t ring..it just says “leave a voicemail and we will get back to you” but...the voicemail is full so you can’t leave a message. Will not order online ever again. Will only order over the phone to make sure everything is right. Hopefully I’ll be able to get in touch with them.Response to owner: I appreciate the update and everything you’ve done to make it right. Great customer service is always amazing. I will definitely order again because any other time I’ve gotten food it’s been good but today was just an off day, which happens and is understandable!

We have gotten Local 27101 for lunch at work a couple of times. Every single time they are outstanding. The quality of the food is great, the service is great and even the messaging and online ordering is great. They are always super appreciative for our business. The one time they left out an order they had it to us within 5 minutes and apologized profusely. This is how a place should be run. I would highly recommend the Carolina Burger and the fries. Love the Office with the German Shepard :)

The drinks were good, but I didn’t like hearing the bartender, Mary, talk trash about her coworkers including racial remarks. Very snobby and unprofessional to do in such a nice restaurant. Service matters just as much as the food and atmosphere.
