If you have to exclaim that you have the best type of a food in town on your sign it means your food is subpar, and that held true for this place. Dirty restaurant, slow service, forgot two of 5 items on the Togo order. I have been to location in Florida so figured I'd check this out while in town on a work trip, and it was night and day different. Not sure if it's different owners or not, but this one needs to lock up and throw away the key.

I usually order, and have food delivered from here. I went in tonight to order. The atmosphere is so pleasant, and it was so clean. There were only two cooks there, one was taking orders and cooking. The wait time was not long, and I ordered three meals. The fish sandwiches were piled high, the French fries, and catfish nuggets were really tasty. Plus they had chocolate brownies, and banana pudding for desert. A great experience.

The food here belies the location! Give it a shot! The shrimp are plump and fresh, the fish is flaky and delicious! I have tried several fish options in both the fried and blackened manner and I can say I love the blackened version. The sides are solid 90% good, but i haven't tried any of the desserts. I would recommend you eat in house as the freshness and flavor is best right off the grill!

The Skrimp Shack has been on my to-do list for a while. They claim to serve the “Best Fish sandwich in the Triad”. My wife and I opted for lunch baskets. My wife chose the flounder lunch with fries and I had the haddock basket. I loved the two haddock filets. As it turns out, haddock is a mild, meaty filet. Both of us thought the tarter sauce was superior to most served in restaurants today. The fries were well fried and served with a high quality catsup on the table. We’ll be back! I recommend that other Triad foodies give this family owned business a try.

If a fish restaurant is empty on a Friday night a red flag should go up. The place is decorated nicely and fairly clean inside. The fish has potential. I think if there was more seasoning on the fish the ratings and customers would increase. If you brought in real Mac and cheese plus homemade banana pudding people would be more attracted. The food is on the expensive side. Change up the seasoning and cut down the price a tad. I hope the best for y’all.

Always hot and fresh. Good sized portions. Seasoned well. We really enjoy their seafood.

This flava (no, not "flavor") givin' establishment stays serving up deliciousness on several levels. Although I eat a plant-based diet 97.3% of the time, I occasionally get a hankering to walk on the pescatarian wild side. Enter, "Skrimp Shack." There deliciously, although delicately seasoned fried fish, perfectly browned hush puppies, and well-made coleslaw have all been well-received by my palate. They do a wonderful job of frying the fish perfectly, not too soft, not too hard. They also offer a variety of types of seafood and side dishes. However, since I'm allergic to shellfish and dairy, and don't eat chicken, beef or pork I haven't tried anything but the Whiting Basket, Catfish Basket, Fish Tacos, hush puppies and cole-slaw. That being said, I've tasted enough to know I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to satisfy their seafood taste buds. The only reason they're not receiving a full 5 stars from me, is because recently their consistency with portion size and quality control has been a little off. However, I did speak to the manager, and he says there were some new staffing changes and they're on it. Good news! My last order was perfect.

Yesterday was my first time eating here & I must say, the food was delicious!! I don't think I have seen a fish sandwich that big. It was soooooo good!! But the okra were the best. Probably some of the best okra I have ever eaten. I will definitely visit again, very soon!

Skrimp Shack is Love! The whole staff is always friendly & cool! The thick stacked sandwiches you see in the pictures is what you get! When you get the platters, the portion is nice! Their tartar sauce is delicious! They know what they are doing with those collard greens too! Treat yourself!***You gotta be real careful of bones because I've had some in fish sandwiches and platters more than once. It will tick you off. My son hates it because it slows down his devouring the tasty sandwich.

Skip the shrimp shack. For the price the food was just ok. At Diner a family of 4 could easily spend $60-75+. Not quite what I was expecting based on the appearance of the location. The Staff wasn't very friendly and this was really the reason I will not return. There was a parking lot carnival and that was the whole reason we were in the area. We had seen this place a few weeks ago an was excited to try it. I asked when we got there if it was ok and she said well we are technically not closed for 10 mins. Our food was brought to us in a bag and I asked can we not eat here really fast and the response was we have been slow and we are ready to leave. It was just two of us and we were trying to hurry to get back to the carnival. I guess 5 minutes was too much to ask as we were shown the door. I realized I left my drink, but it was too late they had already locked up. We had to go eat in the car and was missing ketchup for the fries and nothing for my son to eat his Mac and Cheese with so we ended up throwing away half of the food. We should have just eaten at the carnival and saved money instead of trying to spend money at a local business with subpar customer service.

The atmosphere and the cleanness of the place was great. Maybe I should have gotten something different but the tacos weren't my favorite. The shrimp had no flavor and the taco only had lettuce and cheddar cheese on it. The tortillas were also a little rough. My sister let me try her catfish and it was a little too fishy with no seasoning.
