Southern Social is an absolute gem. We have homes in Chicago and Miami. This is a 5 star experience anywhere, not just 5 because of Winston Salem. Kinsey took amazing care of us. Wine options are very good, and fair. Food is exceptional, smashed potatoes are beyond comprehension. Desserts are crafted and perfect. Long story long... Go. Now. To Social Southern.

So many high hopes just to be disappointed. I booked Social Southern Kitchen to host my birthday dinner at, due to me and a close friend wanting to try it for a while. Not only was the food barely Lukewarm, the service was HORRIBLE. Very rude and racist atmosphere, one of my guest were harassed for an ID after not requesting one from anyone at the table, mind you it's my 26th birthday so no one was under age at this event but my toddler. Not to mention the tasteless appetizers, plus a Cake cutting fee for a Cake My mother purchased. There were bugs everywhere on the patio , which got in everyone's drinks and they had no type of candles to help with this issue which I've never seen at any restaurant establishment. This was a terrible restaurant experience, and honestly NONE OF US should have paid. I Will NOT BE RETURNING.

These people have lost it. I've wanted to try them out for a while. I was attracted to the Mac and cheese just to find out they don't have it. Tonight my friend had a birthday party. The appetizer scallops was $14 for TWO scallops yes I SAID TWO. I am a true foodie and usually dont care about a price but that is a true scam! We ordered numerous apps, I ordered the fried green tomatoes .. tasteless! The worst batch I've had so far in Winston. The real tea is that they tried to charge me for them even though I returned them. I will not be back at this establishment! I'm sure they won't be open long. And what establishments doesn't have citronella candles or some sort of bug repellent for outdoor seating???!!! I HAD A NAT COSMO

They have amazing food and exceptional service. Their amazing fried chicken stays crispy and delicious whether you eat there or take home. Their sides are always amazing and the smoked bbq goes quick so you want to be early on Thursdays! Sweet and sour greens are amazing as is Mac and cheese. 8 out of 5 stars!

Social distancing at it's best. Our grouper was PERFECT , lightly seasoned, prepared on a bed of grits and asparagus. A must to try, best in town! Thank you for a great dining experience.

Whoa! Okay so this is an incredible hidden gem in Winston-Salem! I got so excited about the menu that I ordered: crispy brussel sprouts, fried green tomatoes, beet salad, and rosemary bread (I never eat free bread - much less order bread - but fresh made?! With pimento cheese?! Okay?!). My girlfriend and mom both got the flank steak, veggies, and frites - it was all so incredible! Due to COVID and mom's terrible health, we ordered take away + a bottle of rosé - and y'all: this place is joyously on par with Mozelle's. Even the service (takeaway at that!!!!) was so personal and commmunicative - I'm thrilled. Can't wait to return on my next trip to Winston. Looking forward to dining in in the future to try their cocktails and see how they fair in their in-person service. If it's anything like what they're doing take-away... Sheww boy. They're onto something there @Social.

First, excellent guest recognition. We were there to celebrate my new career move and my girlfriend must have told them because the host said congratulations and the server also did when she first got to our table. Even when we left the manager gave a warm good bye and recognized our event. The food was superb, the appetizers were hot and fresh and delicious. Our dinners (steak and burger) were equally delicious and well prepared. Finally our server (Britt) was on point and attentive, even as restaurant got busier. She even recalled we had mentioned what we wanted for dessert and anticipated our need by pre-ordering. I highly recommend this restaurant and staff. This is a local place that we need in Winston.

Enjoyed another fantastic dinner last night. From the Rosemary bread with Pimento cheese, Beet Salad with Spiced Pecans to the Cooked perfectly Ribeye. Best Manhattan I've had in 20 years! Great way to end a crazy week and kick off the weekend. If you haven't been to Social- GO!
