The menu is big and has good options. I got the fajita quesadilla and it was tasty. Unfortunately, we were with another couple and couldn’t hear anything. It’s very loud with high ceilings. Also, the service was terrible. He acted like we were inconveniencing him the whole time. My $14 margarita was definitely made with bottom shelf tequila and made me sick. There are too many other options out there to give them another try.

Great location and convenient to Benton Convention Center and nearby Marriott and Embassy Suites. Food was excellent. No natural light penetrates indoors so you feel like you’ve entered a cave or perhaps a Mayan temple? Hmmm. The low, black painted ceiling and dark furniture contributes to the cavernous atmosphere but it didn’t deter from the great food.

Went to Tulum recently when I was in Winston-Salem and it was great. I got the California chicken burrito and it was really good. The service was good but nothing exceptional. Overall a good restaurant, and recommend it if you are in the downtown area.

Ate there for the first time last night. Loved the food, it was delicious.....and 5 lamb chops for twenty dollars is amazing. The place was LOUD, insanely so. Four or five large birthday parties were really more than they could easily handle. Will definitely go back, maybe during the week.

Came over for dinner on a whim and wow - we've been missing out! First the drinks. I ordered a Spicy Cucumber Margarita. Probably the best margarita I've had since moving to NC. Really, really good. Big too. My wife had the Mika Mexican. I thought it was good, my wife said it was the best Mule she's ever had. Safe to say - the bartender knew what she was doing. Food was also really good. I went with the Birria Burrito and wife went with the Shrimp skewers [forgot the name]. I think the burrito wins by a small margin. We both loved the food. The side hot sauces were good too. If you haven't been, you definitely should.

Really wanted to like this spot; very disappointed. The building inside looks nice. The staff seemed nice enough, but the food was less than desirable. Didn't get pictures of all of our plates, but I had the Burrito California (pictured). It was mostly rice with hints of chicken and beans with a light dusting of pico de gallo on top. My husband, however, said his Birria Burrito was good. No sides came with either of these dishes. We had two kids with us tonight who each ordered off the kids menu. One had a taco (they forgot to put cheese on) with rice and beans. The second child had a cheese quesadilla w/ rice and beans. Pretty hard to mess these up; they did eat most of it. Drinks do come with the kids menu, even tho we were charged $6 for them when we went to pay our bill, which is on the new hand held computer system all the restaurants are using these days (I HATE them!!!) i'd much rather see my paper bill of what I'm paying $82.39 for!!?? We did order frozen margaritas and wished we hadn't. Not impressed at all. $13 a piece for watered down, tasteless margaritas. With prices like these, they should be able to afford real soap in their bathrooms and not watered down bottles of soap. We won't be back.

My god! Food is delicious + a good wine selection. The last visit we did a more shared plate situation and everything I had was great. Definitely tamed down in spice but not lacking in flavor. Very attentive and friendly staff. It's not a casual eat, but I will be treating myself here as frequent as I can.

I don't often give 5 stars for food but these were the Best Birria tacos I have had. We also had the chicken Taco salad which was very well prepared. Quality ingredients and great preparation.Have eaten here 3 times and always good.

*Update* Love the new daily lunch specials ?New and very good. The price point is what keeps it empty imo. There is a similar restaurant around the corner and it stays packed with wait times, on occasion. I do hope they make it work but $20 for lunch isn't feasible.
