Food was excellent as usual. Be aware that the two rooms are like two totally different restaurants. The bar is very loud (where we were seated this time) whereas the vibe in the main room allows for conversation.

Several favorites including the mussels and Brussels sprouts. Broad menu with full bar. We have never been disappointed. Service has always been fantastic. It can be noisy during peak times but do not let that keep it off your list

Best Sunday brunch on the beach. Delicious food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Brittany makes some very good drinks too.

This place has fantastic service, atmosphere, drinks and food. We sat at the bar for brunch. Surprisingly wasn't too busy, but had a delicious Bloody Mary, breakfast sandwich and biscuits and gravy. The Bloody Mary was flavorful. The breakfast sandwich was basic but on point. The biscuits and gravy were topped with fried oysters and the suggestion of the bar tender. Check it out! Super cute inside too!

Skimpy over priced short. Rib appetizer was 90% bone. Maybe 1oz. Meat. Dry, hard and tasteless not worth $17.95. Ceviche shrimp app possibly two shrimp. Again over priced Glad we didn't order the $37.00 short rib portion. Wanted to complain but wife didn't want me to make a scene. Happy wife. Happy life

We went to King Neptune on Mother's Day and had a special brunch. My wife had eggs Benedict with salmon and I had the steak and egg hash. Both were fantastic and very filling. our waitress was wonderful and also doubled as the bartender for the entire service area. I have a sneaking suspicion that she was thrust into this role without a lot of experience. She was a better waitress than bartender, but did both admirably. The Neptune is a pleasant restaurant with wonderful seating. It should be said though that there is no outdoor seating despite what yelp says. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed watching the mothers come in. It should also be noted that although there is a small lot dedicated to Parking; parking is a beast. We drove around for probably 10 minutes near the restaurant before we were able to get a nice space in the dedicated parking area. However, that was not a distraction from the wonderful experience.

For an ageing beach restaurant, the King Neptune is a highly-active place, very popular with younger families and couples. The menu offerings vary from typical breakfast fare to mainstream dinner items, and are very reasonably priced. Wait staff and bartenders are frenetically active and attentive.

The "new" King Neptune is awesome! I was disappointed that Huevos Rancheros has been removed from the brunch menu, however. It was amazing. We ate dinner and brunch there recently and really enjoyed both meals.

Delicious. We've been in WB for over 13 years and have never ventured in. We heard they had recently renovated and that the food was good so while taking our walk, we decided to stop in for lunch and it did not disappoint. The inside is very refreshing and reflects the beach. The glass stingrays are really beautiful. Service was terrific from the moment we walked in. Our drinks were refilled right on time and she knew exactly when to come to the table. The food was so good that we ate every bite and even went for dessert at lunch. The tuna poke tacos have an ample amount of tuna and are well flavored. You get four so they are perfect for sharing. The French dip was well flavored. The steak was super moist, cooked just right, and the flavor was delicious. The dip sauce was nice as well. Desserts are made in house. We had the key lime pie and the banana pudding cheesecake. Brilliant to combine two classics into one! We will definitely return.

If you would like to eat here bring your noise canceling headphones! I feel very sorry for the employees because their hearing is getting damaged working at this establishment. I had my phone check the decibel levels and it spiked at 105. My ears hurt for hours afterwards. NOT OK! We did ask to be moved to a different table and it helped a little. Honestly we should have just left. It was impossible to enjoy this special occasion when we had to gobble our food just to get out of there.

My 3rd trip to King Neptune again brought great service and another delicious meal: the Salmon was delicious & very tender - fell off my fork tender. I have eaten Salmon in many places in the US & Europe, and this was one of the best, if not the best, Salmon dishes I have had. The noise level was quite overwhelming - hard to hear & converse. Perhaps some wall panels to absorb sound would be a solution....

I go to this place every time I'm near Wilmington, NC. At this point, I've had half the items on the menu (the scallops dish is my favorite, but there are MANY great options, even beyond seafood), and I've never been disappointed. The food/wine are consistently great, the decor is classy (they completely re-did the dining area within the last year or two), and the service is friendly/professional/excellent. King Neptune gets my highest possible recommendation in virtually every category.

Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. The risotto was cold and they brought more out, it was lukewarm, scallops were delicious, salmon was wonderful, Brussels sprouts great too. Lobster bisque was okay, I think it had strings of imitation crab? Definitely not lobster.

Got a reservation at king Neptune's for a nice dinner, ended up being placed in the pirate bar and having our meal there. Drinks were undrinkable and food was not good for the price, wouldn't complain if I was expecting a cheap meal and a chill environment. But it was supposed to me nicer for not a nice experience
