I've been to Sammy's a few times, and every good experience is mirrored with a bad one. They had good food, but it won't be for those that don't like old school style pizzas. The main issues come in with the people that work in the building and they way that they treat customers. Some customers are treated perfectly fine, while others receive attitude, an unwelcoming personality, or absurdly rude looks from the chef and counter.As an aside, do not go there with a large group, as in the past I have gone with friends and those that didn't pay for the food were very rudely yelled at and told that they weren't allowed to use the bathroom when they went to do so. I don't know if it was the owner, or just some overly-entitled worker, but I shudder to think what sort of world we have entered where a business will serve food to a table, but if you don't have $10 for bread sticks or $27 for a pizza, you can't take a trip to the toilet.

I should had known when my GPS took me downtown, plus the pretentious “chef” with the handle bar mustache tossing pineapples on the dough!!! All signs that this was going to be an overpriced glorious piece of cardboard box trash. But I stay the course and my 28 dollar large pizza came out the brick oven. It is thin crust, I mean thin. Food was burnt!!! Pizza was salty got immediate heartburn!! Me n my daughter drove to the dominoes by 1530 morehead n bought another pizza to cancel out the taste!!! Oh yea I read the reviews, I always read reviews, 4.5 stars sounded good!!! Never again!! Dominoes on the right!!!
