I showed up really early, so everything was almost instantaneous seated, ordered, and food at the table. Had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and hasbrowns. Everything was excellent. I just need to get over the aftertaste that all sodas have in Grand Forks.

Went to this cafe for breakfast after work, and the waitress saw the top of my badge from under my coat. She began to bash my place of employment, saying that it sucks and had a made up name for what she likes to call it instead. When she came to take our order, she told me she’s sure it’s “fun” working there, rolled her eyes and did air quotes with her hands. She also told me that she’s sure I just have to find a way to make a living somehow. The next time she came to the table she said “good luck with your degree or whatever you’re doing over there”. I told her I have no comments, and she continued to harass me even after I stopped looking at her and acknowledging her. This experience made myself and the group I was with extremely uncomfortable and uneasy. The food was great though, which is a shame the service is so terrible. I called the cafe and asked kindly to speak with the owner, and the person that answered the phone yelled in the background “there’s an angry lady on the phone that wants to speak with you”. Again another example of terrible service. The owner was nice and apologized however does not change this terrible experience.

Stacy was our waitress, amazing service, attention to detail, great personality.
Took us almost 30 minutes to get our drinks, no silverware, order came out wrong (wrong eggs and missing hashbrowns). The food we did get was undercooked and bland. It just seems like the standards this place had when it opened up are gone.P.S. I am not a Karen, there are just way better experiences than this to be had in GF. Treat yourself right.
