However, as we ate our dinner, a young man came in and was told the kitchen was closed (even though it was earlier than their posted closing time) because business was slow.So, you'll definitely want to call ahead to make sure the kitchen will be open if you are planning on going there on a week night.

Good changes since last visit. No heavy grease smell. Place seemed brighter. I went with about 20 others, and all were separate checks. Server did a fantastic job keeping everything organized. Food was much better, portions huge. Will go back sooner due to changes.

The food was extremely good. I had the southern fried catfish. It was more than enough to eat. The staff was very busy on Sunday afternoon, but they were very attentive and timely with the food. I've had the pork tenderloin in the past, and it was more than I could eat! I'll be returning.

We were just passing through and decided to go off our route to try this place and it was more than worth it! Whenever we got our plates I was thinking the bill would be crazy high but no! It was affordable! The food is amazing and they serve large portions! If we’re ever back out this way we will be back!

The service was great the two ladies that were waiting tables were great. I didn't like the gizzards (salty) but the fried cauliflower was great. I had the French dip and my mom had the hot beef and we both loved them.

I ordered a mushroom swiss bacon burger with everything and a order of fried mushrooms with a side of cheese sauce. The bill came out to about $21.00. I got home and I got charged for a order of French fries that I can't eat because I'm diabetic. I should have only been charged about $15.00 even with fries I threw out. Food was good. I never got a receipt either.Dietary restrictions: I'm diabetic

If you like fish this is the place for you. A great variety of food from steaks and chicken to seafood with the best fried fish in the area. Waitress was friendly and gave me 3 pieces of fish when the order was for only 2.However, if you plan on going on the weekend be sure to get there early or find another restaurant. I (by myself ) was told there was no room at the bar and there wouldn't be a table available for over an hour.

Amazing food first time there and was very impressed.
This is my first visit since they had to relocate after the flood. The atmosphere and decor made the restaurant feel like it has already been there for decades. I had the full order of walleye, and it was plenty. It's fried in a different batter compared to the catfish. If you order mashed potatoes as a side, you have your choice of light or dark gravy. The food satisfied my craving for walleye.
