This is the best and affordable place to eat Asian food in Columbus, NE.The food is cooked right in front of you and the cooks are always very flexible if you want to modify the dish, within reason. BEST experience ALWAYS!!! I’ve eaten here for years and will never stop! I’ve been to a Michelin rated restaurant and I appreciate Empire Express more. Enlighten yourself with the Peanut Butter chicken; pro tip, add spice and bamboo ;)
I ordered Hunan Chicken and the food was very tasty but it seemed to be prepared quite differently than most Chinese restaurants (quite a bit sweeter and with a different vegetable composition and contained no hot dried peppers).I ordered my food as a dinner "to go" but when I came in I was disappointed that the portion size seemed equal to a "lunch" size at competing Chinese restaurants.
