Whoa... I love BBQ and I travel for work... everywhere I go I look for a BBQ place. Huey's hit it out of the atmosphere for their Rub flavor and are definitely in my top 5 All-time delicious Bbq's. Friendly staff and spectacular food made for a great lunch. Can't wait to come back.

Sweet Lordy Lord. Came to Fremont for work and me and the lads came by this place and let me tell ya what, this place makes a bbq sandwich so good you need to take a 2 hour nap after eating. Worth it????

I always try to eat local owned especially when visiting another town. Decided Hueys would be my choice in Fremont. The building itself has a nice decor for a BBQ joint. Ordered our dinner which came remarkably quick. The nachos are a very generous portion of chips, nacho cheese and pulled pork. Overall not bad, but the pulled pork has zero smoke flavor. The sandwich's were both OK. Generous portion size of brisket, sausage and pulled pork that had no smoky flavor. The brisket appeared to have been done in a toaster, no color, no flavor, definitely no smoke ring. Bottom line, there are 100 other good to great BBQ joints within an hour. Chose due to the previous Yelp reviews, the expectations for good BBQ in Fremont is really low. Ps, no sweet tea, machine broken and every drink from the fountain was flat or out of mix. Not my best dining experience.

How do people decide where to eat BBQ, when reviews can say a place is both great and awful? I ate at Huey's today. I like to think I know great BBQ. I've eaten at many of the top BBQ restaurants in Texas and the second highest rated restaurant on Yelp in Phoenix (Little Miss BBQ). I know to dismiss reviews made by people who begin by discussing their beverage or side order. Tell us about the meat!. Huey's brisket was not the worst I have eaten, but it was not far from the worst. No moisture left in it, no smoke flavor, no smoke ring, no dark bark. My wife rolled hers inside a napkin to hide it, so as not to insult my sister who had purchased our meal. You have to feel smothered by the aroma of the smoker the moment you exit your vehicle. We didn't and it should have warned us. My wife and I had a tiny cup of beans as a side and were glad the serving was so small because neither of us liked them. Looked like something warmed out of a can. They also told us they have been out of sweet tea for weeks. You have to leave Fremont, Nebraska and head into Omaha if you want decent BBQ.

Bbq sandwiches and sides just ok. Inside of restaurant smelled heavily of frying oil so took our food togo. Seemed like several staff in this small shop but all seemed distracted and as the only customers we felt like we were in the way. One young gal working front counter was courteous.

The options in town are limited, so this seems like a good bet. Unfortunately like a hand of blackjack, this bet was a l***** I went with the two meat combo: ribs and brisket. The ribs were decent and a nice portion on a combo plate. The brisket on the other hand was a disaster of epic proportions. First of all, disregarding the fact that some slices were not edible: in a bbq joint, you'd expect the brisket to be smoked? This thinly sliced mystery meat showed no evidence of being or even walked by a smoker. It's either baked, but mostly likely some boiled mess. It was chewy and dry AF. Sides were decent and the Mac and cheese was pretty good. Service was ok, but not sure why they flip the tablet for a tip; when there is really no service outside of bringing out my plate. Sorry, just not a good choice.

Huey’s caught the fallen star with their slow cooked, mouth watering and moist just right brisket. The Big Dipper flew by with every astrological sign of goodness. Bravo! You have to arrive early for the bbq here, or you will be without as their inventory goes quick! They are no joke in the bbq pit! They got their business together.

This place came highly recommended so when I was in the area I decided to check it out. I love brisket so opted for the brisket dinner. The meat was 35% fat & 35% gristle. VERY disappointed.

I have ordered carryout now a few different times. For me and my employees. Each time we order 2-4 full rack of ribs, and a few different sides. Each time we ordered we were never not satisfied. The meat was juicy and falling off the bone. Definitely will be coming back!
