“When going through Grand Island, we stopped here for lunch. I'm not sure how long they've been there, but it used to be a pizza place. The buffet had a nice selection of fresh veggies, meats, and noodles and a few options for sizes. We never saw the prices for the various sizes, but we went ahead and got the large bowl. After adding our desired sauces, two people were walking around the round grill, cooking our food and moving it around the grill. They had some kind of soup, maybe sweet and sour, which I didn't care for. You could also get white rice out of an electric rice maker, if you wanted it. The food was cooked appropriately, it was flavorful, the workers were all nice, everything looked clean and replenished regularly. If you wanted a sweet treat, besides a fortune cookie, they had a couple of little cake choices, Jello, mandarin oranges, and watermelon slices.“
“I ordered the steakhouse filet salad and I was fine but it needs some tweaking. How about replacing the salad greens with spinach, actually adding the red onion, removing the bacon bits and adding dried cranberries and pecans. Also if your going to drizzle the salad with blue cheese crumbles which is great, then don’t bring me 2 containers of blue cheese dressing instead offer a red vinaigrette. Like I said the meal was fine just a few suggestions.“
“If you are a fan of good pizza, you definitely need to try pizza from the Bunkhouse. We ordered the Chicken, bacon, ranch pizza, and it did not disappoint. Toppings were generous, and it was not greasy at all. Way better than most bar pizza I’ve eaten.“
