The char burger is suppose to served on a hoagie bun .when cooked on the grill a burger should not be smashed down It removes all the juice .the outside of the burger should not be hard and over cooked

Very disappointed. We grew up in Hastings. Moved to Lincoln over 25 years ago. Every time we make it back to Hastings we HAVE to get the Barrel Bar. Even our kids love it. Not tonight. Char burgers sucked. Buns different. Char burgers over seasoned and different. So sad. Probably won't be back. Heart breaking
The people that work there there are so toxic look like a racist, l feel super uncomfortable eat

We arrived at 9:15 PM and hoped to grab a late supper. The kitchen was not closed, but after we sat down we heard “we have someone at a table”, followed by “are you kidding me?” The waitress brought us the menu, and a few minutes later came back and asked “Are you going to eat?” We said no, and only ordered a couple of drinks since it was very obvious they did not want us there. Not sure what their closing time is on a Saturday night, but very clearly they were still open at that time. It was my birthday, and we had hoped to have a late celebratory dinner even though we couldn’t make it earlier in the evening. Wrong choice of local establishments…

Great place to grab some grub. Try the stromer it's delicious ?. Their steaks and pork chops are just as good. They don't have a flyer which is fine by me. (Fried foods aren't good for you) The price is spot on and the service is friendly and on point.
