A quiet and quaint experience. The tea selection is wide and accommodating and the coffee is delicious and fresh. The food is different and surprisingly yummy. I honestly loved it and am excited to take some friends next time.

Amazing food and tea! Perfect all around and totally worth the drive from Omaha to check it out. Definitely will be back!!

This is such a gem. Came here for tea time and I really enjoyed it (even my husband enjoyed it but may not admit it). We had a reservation and asked to move it earlier in the day but had no problems doing that. We did the afternoon tea and tried the Lady Grey which I enjoyed. We got full from all of the treats and I would go again if we were in the area.

Great food, even better staff. So nice and a refreshing change from boring fast food.

My friends and I drove down today for afternoon tea. We decided we couldn't have tea without dressing for the occasion. We had such a fun time. I highly recommend well.... everything. It was scrumptious. The lavender cookies were made with locally sourced lavender. The ganache on the chocolate cake was soft and absolutely perfect. The sausage roll and Scottish egg were served in a delectable croissant pastry with several perfect flaky layers. There were so many, " oh yums". Coming from our table. Lovely staff, clean, we will be back next month. We might have to become regulars coming from the Kearney area. Thank you What the Dickens I can't wait to come back again. ?

If it were possible, we would give these ladies 6 stars. Not only is the tea room elegantly tidy and all the pastries (sweet and savory) a feast for the eyes, the staff is careful in handling food. We took savories to go, and were transported back to Inverness with the first bites of our pasties. The cheesy, bacony potatoes were perfect inside the buttery, flaky pastry. It was like consuming a warm hug. Had this been winter we'd have been thawed out instantly and warm all the way home. Worth the stop even in today's heat though!

Absolutely delicious! My husband who's from North Yorkshire thoroughly enjoyed the sausage rolls. The kool aid flavored macaroons were a fun touch too! Worth a trip if you're in town.

Cute stop in Hastings. We stopped because it was on the Nebraska Passport! We got a bunch of pastries and a savory sausage and cheese hand pie thing to share. We had a small pot of the Wild Berry tea and got about 4 cups out of it, perfect for a little stop! The Wild Berry tea was so good, so much flavor and aroma. Service was amazing, we weren't sure what we wanted, we didn't know anything about British foods, and we didn't even know if we wanted to sit or take and go, she helped us with everything and brought the tea to our table. There were multiple tables inside to sit and plenty of street parking outside!

I have been searching and searching for a place to have afternoon tea - so I was so happy to stumble across What the Dickens when we were in Hastings for a baseball tournament The afternoon tea came with an assortment of savory and sweet treats. Including cucumber tea sandwiches, egg and bacon tea sandwiches, a slice of sausage roll, Bakewell tarts and more. I opted to add two scones with clotted cream and jam as well (which was a great choice, because the scones are amazing). Truly everything on the tea tray was delicious, but the warm scones may have been my favorite part. They have a wide selection of teas to choose from as well, but I went with an old favorite (English breakfast tea).My husband loves scotch eggs and was delighted to see them listed on the menu - and he really enjoyed hisWe also grabbed some Eccles cakes and Bakewell tarts to go (the Bakewell tarts were my 5 year old's favorite)Our food and tea came out quickly and the server seemed very familiar with the menu and was able to answer all our questionsWe would absolutely stop in again the next time we are in Hastings!

This place is incredible! All sorts of teas and baked goods to choose from, or just get the Afternoon Tea meal and try a bunch at once.If you are reading this and you DON’T stop by and treat yourself, you are wrong! Grab a Scotch egg or some macarons to go, or custom order something for a special occasion. Whatever it is, Beth and Caroline put it together with love and nail it every single time.
