Honestly, this place just bothers me on a lot of levels. It's like a suitcase, there's a lot to unpack here.Firstly, staff. There is essentially never enough to run the front of house efficiently. The employees that are there generally are great and are trying their best, but when 30 minute or longer waits are the norm, you have a break in you staffing system.Secondly, menu availability. I have given this place a lot of tries to make sure I haven't just been in on off days, and I can confidently say I have never been there a single time but that they didn't have one or more menu items because they don't have the ingredients. To that end, I have only been able to order the first thing I wanted one time. So on top of staffing, ordering is borked.Recipes...how to put this. It...feels like the person who wrote them watched a lot of food shows and got some ideas, but didn't bother to iterate until they got it right. Everything feels like it's 60-80% cohesive, and needs something else to complete it. Maybe for people with extremely pedestrian palettes it tastes amazing, but for even a mildly developed sense of taste, it becomes extremely obvious that these recipes are either imbalanced or incomplete.And then there is food quality and consistency. Shortly put, there often isn't any. I have been served medium rare chicken in an imbalanced and broken sauce, raw dough, incomplete food. And all of that after having to take my second or third choice dish and wait 30-60 minutes in a nearly empty dining room for it.Having kept my eye on the place and trying it several times over years. I'm shocked they have managed to stay in business. Like I literally can't figure out how, excepting that Kearney is home to a lot of folks that never cook and believe that anything more complex than Domino's is 'really good'. Overall, the establishment either needs to address its multiple issues or turn it over to someone that has the ability or cares enough to do it.For a good time, don't eat here. And don't believe all the 5-star reviews, I am confident a lot of them are either paid reviews or fake accounts

This place was busy and it looked like very limited staff. I was happy to wait because the food was worth it. Very limited drink options as well. The food and atmosphere is the draw here and I am looking forward to going back.

Horrible. Complete garbage. We ordered the dude pizza, which we have had before, and always enjoyed. This pizza was inedible. The meat had an old freezer burnt taste. We ended up pulling the toppings off and just eating crust. Beyond disgusted! Waste of time and money!

The last couple times that we've eaten at Flippin' Sweet it was horrible. The first time the pizza dough wasn't done and the second time it tasted like they changed to a different pizza sauce.It may just be my opinion, but I think they've went too far left and their liberal tears have been getting into the pizza.

Great food! We visited for the first time early on a Friday evening. Our server was friendly and attentive, and answered all our questions. We started with fried Brussel sprouts, which were delicious and came with a sweet slightly spicy sauce. The Pineapple Express pizza was wonderful! Fresh pineapple and pears are the highlight! The Dude pizza was also very tasty. Stop by if you're in Kearney, it's well worth it!
I’ve only had a few appetizers and the American Pie. My fiancé and I LOVE this place. Hands down the best pizza in Kearney, NE. We haven’t felt the need to order a different pizza because we’re OBSESSED. I just ordered again tonight for dinner and MY GOODNESS. Insert a million heart and drool emojis.

On a recent visit to Kearny we decided to have The Flippin' Sweet Pizza. I drove over there and got a veggie pizza to go. I waited for 15 to 20 minutes and it was ready to go. When I got to our lodging and dug into the pizza, it was amazing!! Great taste with lots of homemade sauce and a really good crust around the edges. It was a good value for the money as well. If we are ever back in Kearny we will go back for more pizza at The Flippin' Sweet.
