The food and service is above and beyond any restaurant in town me and my fiancé Jessica had the greatest server Jaylee who's service was above and beyond any server in any sit down restaurant in the town of Kearney Nebraska she is the best server we've ever had!! She didn't even have to be asked to refill our drinks and she always came to our table regardless if we needed anything at all. The culture and integrity of the food was keeper regardless of the type of meal.
All of our meal was excellent - salad, bread, pasta and steak! Our server, Alex, was incredible - great knowledge, suggestions and service. This is our “go to” place when visit Kearney.
Beautiful establishment! Excellent service from wait staff and bartenders, but the food seems to be missing flavor. Steaks are just not the quality expected from Nebraska angus other than tenderness, tastes like propane grill with absolutely no flavor and sides being the best part. 4 chances to redeem and still not satisfied.

Cold and fresh Pal's beer on tap, salad was crisp and fresh and the dressing was delicious, and then the 10oz prime rib and loaded baked potato was out of this world!! Ordered as medium rare, and it was absolutely perfect! Finished off the meal with creme brulee for dessert, and it did not disappoint!! Excellent experience!!
Went with my wife recently to try it for the first time and everything was great. Food is delicious and the guy who served us was very friendly. Unfortunately we couldn't try the dessert because we were too full. The Moscow Mule was delicious and be sure to try the cheese bread as a starter.
Isaiah was the best server of all time. Like that kid is the goat when it comes to serving high quality steaks.

Great Kearney dining experience!In town for the night and wanted some good Nebraska beef … Coppermill was near our hotel, so gave it a shot. Service was steakhouse professional and informative without being stuffy, very friendly and fun, especially Chloe.My ribeye was like butter and cooked to perfection; the mashed were best in a long time. Her Big Red streak also cooked perfectly with a zingy sauce. Creamy take on brussels with almonds added, new and tasty for us. Rye old-fashioned was top-shelf.Fancy food in a very nice place without any pretension. But be warned…Saturday’s buffet brings in crowds, circling the crab legs like seagulls, so if you’re going buffet, don’t delay.

We were incredibly impressed with the seafood and prime rib all you can eat buffet last night! Food was perfect Prime rib, Alaskan King Crab, fresh oysters, lobster, stuffed mushrooms, Spinach Dip with fresh chips, delicious brussel sprouts and Asparagus, extra large shrimp cocktail fresh baked rolls chocolate covered strawberries carrot cake, I'm sure I'm forgetting things. It was all perfectly presented and prepared. And the waiter was really good, he kept a close eye on us and all the busy tables around us. We were very impressed. The Sasquatch IPA was delicious too. We will be back it was worth the rather expensive prices.
Alex is the backbone of this establishment. That dude offered the best service we have ever experienced. The food was immaculate, but the service was even better. Before my niece and nephew could finish their first round of Shirley temples (extra cherries, obvi) this dude had two in the chamber. A true sport.Amd the bonus scoop of ice cream was a real og move.They haven't stopped talking about it.

The Coppermill just refreshed its restaurant & menu (Jan 2024). Excellent updates! Our dinner last night was delicious. The interior updates give the whole space an elevated feel and most memorable was our excellent service!Amazing menu & service! Food and drink menu are second to none. Kids menu is amazing too.

To be fair, the service and food is normally great. I walked over from the hotel, to find out they're closed for remodeling. Nothing on their answering machine, nothing on their website, not great service. In case you're thinking of heading over, the sign says they won't be reopening until January 19th 2024. Their online ordering system was going to allow me to order for pickup, really?

Let's start with a positive the front of house staff were exceptional, a real blessing to work with in getting my order placed. Plus watching how they attended to others in the restaurant made it clear that they all deserve a raise will how much they seem to take pride in their work. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect, and well suited for date nights and semi formal dining. I was a little disappointed with the food. I ordered 2 orders of the Tuscan pasta with chicken for me and my wife. The chicken was good but a little dry, the pasta needed a bit more cooking time as it was still rather chewy almost rubbery, and the sauce was completely unbalanced. It was obvious what the chef was going for but the mark was certainly missed here in this one instance. I have in the past heard nothing but great things about the food at coppermill and I believe this could simply be a case of the chef just having an off night, and I look forward to resisting the restaurant to prove my theory true. Should my theory be proven true I will gladly ammend this review.
