I would not recommend this place. Our waitress was annoyed that we were there. Table of six and all six plates of food were cold. Flavor was ok. Food came out separately and incorrect. Once the food was dropped, she never came back until the end with the check. Asked for the manager and when the manager arrived we expressed our concerns. She looked at us like we were making it up. She took 20 $ off a 120$ bill. Go to subway and save 100$.

Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill presents itself as a family-friendly dining option that mirrors the ambiance and menu style of chains like Texas Roadhouse, but with a local twist. The restaurant specializes in hearty, American comfort foods, often with a sweet twist, as seen in their drinks and side dishes like the "Sweet Potato Soufflé." The decision to start with just one drink and an appetizer is a strategic move for newcomers, giving a taste of the restaurant's offerings without overwhelming the palate or expectations. Although the food and drinks can lean towards the overly sweet, and the atmosphere may be noisy with the sounds of family dining, Whiskey Creek stands out for its welcoming, albeit bustling, ambiance and its commitment to serving up a generous helping of local charm. The fact that there's often a wait for a table speaks to its popularity among locals looking for a familiar and comforting dining experience.

We stopped while traveling to eat here. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was good. My sister and l split our sandwiches. I had the prime rib sandwich, and she had the mushroom and Swiss burger. They were both good and come with house fries. We would recommend it.

Always a pleasant time dining at the Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill in Kearney. Food and staff are always great. I always enjoy a ribeye or sometimes their prime, with a loaded baked potato and deluxe house salad. A skewer of bacon wrapped shrimp adds to the meal and for starters the calamari or tootsy rolls are great. Nice selection of drinks and a margarita on the rocks makes for a wonderful evening.

My husband loved his filet and tot-chos. That bread is everything. My filet had fat throughout. The cook was great and the flavor was delicious. However, my first 3 bites were mostly fat. After that, I didn't even want it. That's the first time there that this has happened. I don't know if I'll go back.
