It has been several years since we've been able to dine here again but we used to be regulars many years ago. I was nervous that the changes would be too much, but everything we ordered was outstanding. We started with the vanilla sesame brioche with hot honey butter (yum!) and the duck fat potatoes w/ chorizo, and hollandaise pickled mustard seed, arugula, radish and all of these flavors made an incredible dish! So delicious. My husband had the grilled striploin w/ leek confit, pickled blackberry, ricotta and I had the miso glazed salmon w/ kimchi rice cake, cabbage slaw, and charred scallion dashi. Presentation was beautiful and the bite of salmon with the crispy rice cake was an unexpected treat. We ended with ice cream for dessert. Our server missed that we ordered the pistachio chocolate tart and instead brought us one of each of the ice creams we were deciding between, but we didn't correct and enjoyed them both. Overall an awesome dinner and hope to be back again soon.

We were there for a special occasion. We were seated in a far corner away from everything. I faced a wall and had no view of the rest of the restaurant. I know we should have asked for a different table, but it shouldn't have been necessary. There really was no need for a table in the corner where we were seated. So, basically a special night out was spoiled by the lack of ambiance. The food was very good and the service was adequate. Not what I expected for a high end and expensive restaurant.

I have been frequenting this corner restaurant for over 20 years, however, I moved away over a year ago and had not visited since new ownership. I was back in town last night so made a stop. This was the first time that I have ever been unsatisfied with my visit. The staff is amazing. The food, however, is not. The fried chicken appetizer (shared plate) was great, but it seems that while the kitchen is trying to be different than others around, it is just too far out there without enough explanation for me. There was sausage or something like it in my duck side dish which was not listed in on the menu. I have diet restrictions being a Jew, so would like to know if an additional meat is going to be added. My partners oyster dish was mostly mushrooms, or at least he could not tell the difference between what was mushroom and what was oyster. This is not the presentation or quality of food I had been used to from the Dish. Pretty disappointing.

We had a good time at this restaurant, the food was tasty and the service was friendly. However, we were very disappointed with the portion sizes, especially for the desserts and drinks. Our $15 piece of cake was so tiny that it looked like someone had already eaten most of it before bringing it to us. The cocktails were also expensive and served in small glasses. We expected more value for our money and left feeling unsatisfied.

I had a great experience and truly support Chef Mcgill. I will say that the cheddar grits are phenomenal - the ricotta pancakes were good and they are excellent when Chef McGill makes them. I know the brunch drink menu rotates and so I felt like that was a little lacking.

Dish always offers a creative, uniquely satisfying, and well-executed experience. We enjoyed a delicious sampling of small plates and nicely made cocktails. I can't say I have ever had carrots prepared in such an amazingly flavor-packed way! My only regret is that we did not order dessert (the dessert selections look fabulous!). We look forward to returning

Amazing food, service, desserts. The menu is always changing so each visit is different. The Sunday brunch has some wonderful dishes, don’t pass up the breakfast burrito!

We attended Dish with some friends. The beet appetizer was delicious but otherwise duck was over cooked and no other menu items stood out. Service was also slow. Our waitress apologized and offered free dessert to the table. When we ordered dessert we were still charged for it. And when we asked her about it, she reported we just got one free dessert for a table of 5.

This was our 4th visit to The Dish since the new chef took over. The pre-dinner cocktails and mocktails were inventive and delicious. Our appetizers, charred Napa salad and Roasted Beet salad with goat cheese, were lovely and very flavorful. And finally our mains, Grilled Mushrooms and Miso Salmon, were beautifully presented and featured a variety of sauces to explore. Highly recommended.

We ordered a variety of 4 items from the menu (focaccia, potatoes, salmon, beef/pasta) and all of them were over salty! Not much balance of flavors or colors on the plate either - there was brown and salt, that's all. The beef stew-like sauce on the underdone pasta was made even more salty by the potato chips scattered on top and made the whole dish almost inedible! Unfortunately, the menu descriptions were not very helpful. We told our server that we had never been there before so it would have been great if she had offered some suggestions! We were expecting more from this place but were hugely disappointed. Not worth the high price on the menu which seems like a pretty poor attempt at bougie!

This is the second time my wife and I have come to Dish and each time is better than the last. The food experience is beyond excellent and you get unique flavors and interesting combinations. There is a lot of care and intentionality given to each dish snd the drinks are equally was good. The service is amazing as well and you are cared for from the moment you walk in to when you leave by thoughtful and polite staff. The ambiance is very nice snd it's a place where you won't feel embarrassed for dressing up a little or ashamed if you dress down. The pictures of the food are from their special Valentine's Day menu.

Went here for Valentines day dinner, $100 a meal. Food was alright, but service was not great. Our server didn't bother to see us more than twice the entire night, but was back and forth at other tables. Felt very stale in the restaurant. Bathrooms looked very "we made this look expensive with the wallpaper but forgot to clean in weeks".

The Valentine pre-fix was absolutely delicious. I have never tried pavlova and was so very impressed. Dish never disappoints. I also truly appreciate the gluten free accommodations.

The food was good but not exceptional. With the price per dish I was expecting to be impressed and wanting to go back. The service was average. I only have complaints about the wait time between receiving dishes. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the overall facility and lack of ambiance given the $$$ rating. It was rundown and dirty in the bathrooms and the overall structure and flooring was rundown. I spoke with a previous employee after visiting and she confirmed that poor conditions extend to the kitchen preparation area as well.

Phenomenal food. Lucky to have such a top tier restaurant in Lincoln. Competes with the best in Chicago.
