Out Standing in a field
I have been to a few Runzas now and there are a few common take aways I have experienced.1. Runza restaurants are typically cleaner after a rush, then most fast food joints.2. The staff is clean and they present themselves well. They appear to enjoy working for Runza.3. Although I do not care for the Runza, the hamburgers are fantastic. The fries are also awesome.4. The shakes are ridiculous! Seriously, these are pure trouble. We tried the mint shake, and those should come with a warn...do not share or you will be back at the counter to buy another!5. If the trash can is full, they empty it. No really, how many times do you go into a fast food joint and the trash is overflowing....and people are trying to find one with a little room.So based on my few visits at multiple locations, they all appear to be similar.I have to present a detractor, as no business is perfect. Every location I have been to, the store entry is a mimic of frogger, 80s reference, as getting past the cars in the drive through can be a challenge. There has to be a better design? Maybe park the vehicles near the store and let the drive through go behind.... like most restaurants.Anyway, this is more sarcastic than an issue.Don't fall away from your high quality products, it might cost a little more... but so does everything.
If we're being honest, runzas are just OK. The main thing that keeps me coming back is their ranch wraps and their spicy ranch, try a 3 with spicy ranch as dipping sauce, but plain runzas are not the way to go.
The original Runza is so good, although clearly they have cut down on the quantity of that wonderful filling. Still so tasty.

Hot, fresh, delicious, and I’m disappointed that they aren’t all across the country! I grew up eating Runza and moved out of state so every time I’m in town I have to stop by 2-3 times. The Runza is a classic favorite. They also have amazing burgers!
Service was good but the food had issues. The fries were good but a little salty. The burger was not good. Normally the burgers are fresh made patties. This tasted and looked like a frozen burger patty.

The young man helping us this particular day obviously didn't feel like making a milk shake that we ordered because he proceeded to tell us about how long it will take to make it. What kind of a milkshake takes 15 mins to make?? Profit margin must be in the negative of that's the case. No other explanation offered, just that it will take like 15 mins to make. Fast food customer service continues it's decline...Wheelchair accessibility: We had my father with us this day who uses a wheelchair. Was not difficult to push him inside as long as there was another person to hold doors.

Runza is so good all year round, but for some reason it feels better during the Fall and Winter! Love their chili and cinnamon rolls!
