We were excited to experience this steakhouse and bourbon! Unfortunately when we arrived Maryland was using as their team hotel! So we were sat at a four top near the door! I asked if we could not move to the four top by the windows? We were told no only four people which was given to four men from the bar area which was an event for Maryland! There were two other tables near the windows with two people. We discussed leaving at this point! We decided to stay. Two tables opened up and both were sat with two people! Wow really only four people ?? Both groups were white! Not sure how to describe this?? I'm white my wife is Filipino!! Steak was great! Too bad we won't come back!!

food was pretty good, overall. I had the steak tips which were pretty chewy, but the mashed potatoes were super good! Other family members had burgers and mac & cheese. The latter was a hit amongst several kids because it was not like the boxed stuff. Servers seem to be a bit disorganized and understanding who was supposed to be doing what and who was getting beverages. we ended up going to the bar ourselves just to make it easier on them

We stayed at the Graduate Hotel because of the quality of the restaurant. We've never had better steak anywhere. I also enjoy tasting quality bourbon that I haven't tried before.

We enjoyed Single Barrel very much. My husband was pleased with the selections of whiskey and bourbon, while I enjoyed a nice cocktail. The cornbread appetizer with various spreads was delicious! The steak salad and PB&J Chop were flavorful and much enjoyed. We highly suggest Single Barrel.

Food was delicious, server was super nice but felt like we were forgotten about. We were sat in the back next to the kitchen doors where the servers come in and out of. It's a little pricey but the food was very good.

Had a fantastic dinner with my boss, he really enjoyed the meal. Our only complain was not getting enough of those smoke mushrooms, now you know, this is. It a side that can be shared, each get your own ?

Service was fast and thoughtful Dining area was clean and comfortable Disappointed that corn fritters were made with regular corn not sweet corn? Steak was amazing Whiskey selection great being sold out of all major Japanese whiskeys surprising

Single Barrell is not an easy place to find right away. It's attached to a hotel and the entrance is on a cross street, not the Google address. That said, once inside, I found it to be a really cool place. Big bar, lots of whiskies, limited but acceptable menu, great service. 10/10 would go again - especially now that I know where it is and where to park. A hint: best not to go on a Friday or Saturday night. Downtown Lincoln can be a nightmare on the weekends!

I stopped in her for dinner and had a great experience. Barb recommended the special, helped me find the right drink and even talked me into desert. I will certainly be back because of her!!

Outstanding service, our waiter did an excellent job in explaining the menu, as this was our first visit. He frequently checked with us to ask if we needed anything. Food was great, meats cooked to guest's preference.

Everything about our visit was great except for one thing. The steaks were cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese were delicious and service was spot on. Just don't get the cookie dough cheesecake for dessert. No flavor and really didn't resemble cheesecake. Not sure what happened there.

I made reservations for after my husband's graduation from UNL. We are from out of town and had never eaten here before. The food and drinks were great. Our service was good, but nothing above and beyond. Wish they had a dessert menu. Would recommend!

The steak we had was good- loved the cornbread. The crab cakes were very small and not great- our s'more crème brûlée dessert was not good. Would try the other one if we are to return.

I keep wanting to love this restaurant. We are in Lincoln often and frequently dine at Single Barrel. The food is always meh and the service is nothing to rave about. The ambiance is more like a fast food restaurant than a high end steak house. This last visit my steak was underdone and my husbands overdone (we ordered the same thing). The folding chairs were wobbly and the table was slanted. I mean it will fill your belly, but nothing to rave about for sure. For a steak house in cow country I expect more.

delightful

A wonderful dinner for two tired travellers. We ate in the bar and the bartender was our server. She was terrific: informal, engaging and full of smiles. We had the beef medallions and shell and shell. We shared them and both thought the beef dish excellent. One of us found the seafood too spicy, but the other loved it.
