I want to like this more; the branding is great and although the location is unusual I love shared spaces like this (although it feels like an advertisement for the bank in which the cafe is housed). Unfortunately the coffee is just okay. I think the preference in Lincoln is for medium to dark roasts, which was very disappointing, but this was the lightest (or best roasted) I tried. There is one gluten free breakfast option.Dietary restrictions: The only gluten-free food option is a yogurt parfait.

Stories quickly became my new favorite coffee shop since they opened! I love the environment as it’s not too loud, so perfect to study. Their coffee is amazing! I’ve tried many coffee shops, and it’s by far my favorite in flavor for their syrups and coffee beans!

This Stories coffee is in the lobby of the Union Bank & Trust, off of P Street and 13th in downtown Lincoln. What a welcome surprise when you enter and see the open atrium area with clean tables, chairs,and tabletop bar counters conveniently located in the middle of the bottom floor. I have the bacon and turkey sandwich with an Americano coffee. To my surprise, it came in a paper box with chips and plastic utensils. The sandwich was even warmed up and fresh to the taste. They have other options of food choices besides sandwiches but still is from a limited menu. Their coffee drinks are plentiful and priced affordably. 5 stars for a tasty sandwich and a hot coffee drink on a cold blustery day in Lincoln.
