How to have the best Screw Driver of your life... 1. Sit at bar 2. Ask if the bartender's name is Savannah 3. If so, order a Screw Driver 4. Sip in amazement & digest the fact that you've never had a true Screw Driver and your whole world will now be altered forever. 5. Order another one.

Baela Rose is a staple to the Dundee area. Delicious food, amazing staff, friendly welcoming environment. Always happy when I go into Baela Rose.

Decent experience at Baela Rose, with some disappointments. The vibe and decor are great. Modern and comfortable. Service was good. The food, unfortunately, didn't impress as I expected. The nuts and pork was a tasty dish--the pork belly paired really well with the chili, honey, and mint. But the large, whole almonds made the dish clunky to eat. I like a crunchy element in a dish as much as the next person, but this was too much. The almond flavor also stuck out as a bit odd here. I wasn't overly impressed by the board either. It was very pretty, but I didn't care for either of the cheeses. I would have liked more spreads (the mustard was nice though) and the wheat bread wasn't the best bread vessel. Would have preferred crackers or toasted baguette. The pickled veggies were actually kind of bland for being pickled. The add on if the honey comb was good, and I did love both the meats--prosciutto and some sort of cased salami. My dining companion ordered the sea bass, which we were both excited to try. But it really disappointed us. Sea bass is known for that buttery flavor and fall apart texture. This just didn't taste like sea bass and it was pretty tough. Tasted more like trout. Was a very thin fillet, again not what I would have expected.

My husband and I took another couple to Baela Rose for dinner this last Friday and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing and the staff was great! We had never been before but heard great things about the restaurant! We definitely plan to come back and have already referred Baela Rose to other people. Beautiful decor as well!

This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. Their brunch is magnificent.

Went to dinner here with family on a Saturday evening at 6:00 PM and left around 8:30 or 9PM. Was actually surprised at the flavor of the food. very well made items, however the portion sizes were quite small and in my opinion, extremely overpriced for the amount you received. Another concern to me was that on a Saturday evening during a peak dinner rush period, the dining area never did seem to get remotely busy. There appeared to be no more than a few tables served during the entire time we were there. There are certainly far better values in the area than Baela Rose, even though the food was quite tasty.

Always a great meal at Baela Rose. Staff is always helpful and attentive. We love the charcuterie board every time.

Some of the most beautifully plated food in the city, almost so that I don't usually like to take pictures as they don't quite do the food justice. We live in the neighborhood so we pop up here every now and then. The food is always rotating with the seasons and the portions are well sized so you can sample a variety of plates. The atmosphere is very open and airy with large, floor to ceiling windows aligning the restaurant front, yet there is still the old neighborhood charm with exposed brick walls. While we've come for dinner a few times (the charcuterie board is a must), we mainly stop in for brunch. My husband loves the French toast and I've sampled a variety of other options, all of which I've enjoyed. The bacon is to die for and the Bloody Mary is something that the bacon compliments perfectly. I only wish that they opened at 10am instead of 11am for those that like an earlier brunch time. The one slight downside is that as often as we come, we never quite get that step above service that we've been accustom to in our other Dundee hot spots. Don't get me wrong, the service is timely and friendly enough but sometimes you hope for that acknowledgement of a familiar face or small talk that gives you a more personalized feel. It doesn't deter us from coming back but it does sometimes play a part in maybe how often we stop in.

Went there for brunch today, started off with the French toast sticks and the cinnamon roll. French toast sticks were over fried, was like eating one of those hard breadstick things. Cinnamon roll was rock hard on the outside, flavor on both was decent, but you could clearly tell they hadn’t changed their frying oil recently, everything fried like the French frys has this weird after taste, it was gross. The main reason for the 2 stars was my entree, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich (again, gross after taste), but when you order a chicken sandwich typically it’s white meat and this was most definitely dark meat. If your going to not use the traditional cut of chicken, you should let the consumer know, the sandwich was awful. Also, it was suppose to have habanero jam or something, absolutely no heat what so ever. Not a good brunch experience for my first visit here, might come back and try dinner sometime, no rush though. CHANGE YOUR FRYING OIL!!!!!!
