My husband and I were staying at the hotel Peregrine for a night on our way back to Chicago and decided to order dinner from Block 16. As much as I WANTED to order a sandwich because they all sounded phenomenal, I knew I didn’t want anything too heavy and went with a salmon salad. I thought I was going to regret it (because the sandwiches were SO tempting) but it was fantastic. They really cook the salmon to perfection and were generous with it which was SO appreciated. For context, in Chicago I’ve paid $7 for half of the amount of salmon. My husband got the burger and he loved it (and of course I had a bite - it was great). We agreed it didn’t need the ketchup or mustard and just the fry sauce on it would be perfect, but it was delish. We also got the fun fries (the ones with short rib) and those were a 10/10.We took it to go because we had our pup with us but the staff was thoughtful to add all the sauces and utensils we’d need since we weren’t eating in. All in all it was a great choice and if you’re looking for a delicious and casual bite you should def eat here.

Meets/exceeds the hype. I don't even remember what I got but it had caramelized onions, some kind of exotic compote, and pork belly. I had to look at it the same way you look back at a nice car after you park it..

I went here because it was recommended by a local and it definitely delivered. Countertop ordering with an open seating plan, food is brought to you for done in.I didn't get too adventurous on the menu as it was my first visit, I had the pulled pork sandwich with regular fries. The pulled pork was excellent on its own and the gentle amount of mustard and mayo only complemented the pork instead of overpowering it.Parking can be tricky downtown, but this place is worth it; going forward it's a must visit whenever I'm back in Omaha.Parking: Street parking with pay by phone or kiosk as well as a public ramp a short walk away.

Their menu is spectacular, we had the Omaha fries and they were to die for. Be sure to arrive early as there will be a line, but it's worth the wait.

Block 16 needs to get a bigger place. The food is so good. I love their menu. Crab Rangoon fries are worth the trip by themselves!

Food tasted great. Had the patty melt and the poutine fries with cheese curds and beef gravy. Oh my. Good stuff. Forgot to take pictures. Cool little joint. You'll have to pay for parking out front. No biggie 1-2$ depending on how long you plan to be. Food was a little pricy but hey it was GOOD.

Food quality was good, I like the poutine burrito and their burgers and fries are very good. Kinda on the pricier side but the quality makes up for it

Block 16 is always great. Any time we are going to be downtown in Omaha, we go.The food and the people are great. We have been a few times since 2021 but I have never reviewed it. It’s hard to find a place that is consistently great, but Block 16 is one of those places. It’s a favorite of a few fellow Lincoln people that know about it.Wife and kid love it too. The fries, the burgers, the chicken, poutine burrito…. All great.

Used to go here for lunch when I worked downtown but can't deal with the pretentiousness anymore. Time after time they refused to serve a sandwich without cheese because "they have a set amount of ingredients". Guess having one extra slice of cheese is too much to handle

I heard that the food here was really good, so we thought we would give it a try. Not knowing what to really expect..We were not disappointed. When you walk in, you are immediately hit with the realization that this place is different. It's busy, very busy, it's loud, it's crowded, but everyone seems to be very happy to be here. You will walk up to the counter and place your order. From countless types of burgers to fries galore. Pulled pork to fried chicken. With names like "Croque Garcon Burger" and Dragon Fries, and well written descriptions of what each dish is. Take your time and decide. It was so busy the night we went, that I had the opportunity to stand in line and watch how well the staff worked out the logistics of getting the food out to customers. It's an extremely well oiled machine! Every person had their job and did it well. Once you order your food and you're given your order number, you go find yourself a seat at any of the 5 communal open seating tables. If that isn't to your liking, there are a few smaller tables for two scattered around the small interior of the restaurant. All very inviting, even when sitting at a large table for 8 strangers. There's a huge mural on the wall that you can't miss. It seems to be a very popular topic of conversation. It's kind of like a "seek and find puzzle" without meaning to be. Have fun with it. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong here. The burgers are seasoned well, the fries come in various varieties and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Great price for some great food. Give it a try!
