Living in the neighborhood, I've been here a few times. The line can develop quickly. Parking is difficult due to the limited spaces and regular construction nearby, so be sure to arrive early. There is plenty of 2- & 4-top seating, with 1 table for large groups (6-10).The food is flavorful. The pancakes, french toast, biscuits, and chicken-fried steak are delicious. Unfortunately the eggs, rice, and beans always seem to be room temperature, even when cooked.

The parking downtown is horrible but it is worth it. The brunch drink menu is stellar and the food is awesome. The best biscuits and gravy I have ever had, in fact they need to change the menu to read best B&G ever. The food was lightning fast to come out and the place was packed. The staff were all great and super friendly and the prices were reasonable. You might have to hike the the front door after you park he car but if I am ever in Omaha again I will definitely be stopping at the Early Bird for some breakfast..

Incredible atmosphere, incredible food, and a wide variety of menu options. The food was high quality, however the price is slightly too high for the portion sizes. The parking is somewhat difficult to find on a busy day, but if caught on a light day, this is the place to be. Service is fast and helpful, food is high quality, and it's overall an excellent place to take friends and family in spite of the minor downsides.Parking: Will be difficult to find parking on a busy day, paid street parking is mainly across the street but some spots are next to the restaurant.

Made three attempts to get my hashbrowns as ordered, wheat toast wasn't fully cooked. Bacon & sausage was delicious!! To much flour was in the gravy for the chicken fried steak, overall I might actually come back, actually again. Our server was pretty good & attentive to our needs.

The menu looked promising so we gave it a shot. The hash browns were terrible and came in cube form. Mine were soggy, undercooked and ice cold. Hash browns are supposed to be crispy and hot. It was completely unappetizing. My husband got an “omelette” that was just a pile vegetables with a messy slab of cooked egg on top. My chicken fried steak tasted old and dry, it was not fresh and tasted like old oil. The hash holes were good, albeit under seasoned. Lastly, there were so many staff on hand but so inefficient in operations. The waits were way too long given it wasn’t that busy and there were so many people working. Watching the crews of bussers was painful as they were carrying things from tables just with their hands a few items at a time and making several trips back and forth. It’s too expensive to gamble on quality here. We all work hard for our money and want great dining experiences, I don’t think this is one of them.

The place is always packed and seems understaffed. Creative drinks and brunch menu though.

This place is awesome. I've eaten here 4 times now. I travel a lot for work and both me and my team think this is easily the best breakfast place of anywhere we've been in the US. Excellent menu options, most slightly less traditional (which are awesome), but some traditional stuff too. Anything with candied bacon on it is incredible, but I'd say the same for everything without candied bacon on it too - seriously all awesome food! The downtown setting with broad windows on the one side is nice. Servers have always been friendly.

If you cannot guarantee that the food produced from your "Gluten Free" menu does Not contain any Gluten, you do Not have a Gluten Free menu. You Have a Gluten Sensitive menu. You could possible really hurt or even kill ( Anaphylaxis) someone.

This quaint breakfast venue offered a delightful dining experience, with the Eggs Benedict being a particularly outstanding dish. The menu provided a variety of sugary options that appealed to children, adding a versatile touch to their offerings. While it may not ascend to the pinnacle of all breakfast establishments I have visited, it certainly stands far from being subpar. The diner delivers a commendably pleasant experience, comfortably situating itself as a middle-of-the-road option that merges quality with a cozy atmosphere. This balance between exceptional dishes and a family-friendly environment makes it a noteworthy option for those seeking a satisfying meal in a casual setting.

Food is just what you expect - just (big portion of) pancakes, not any particularly great but also not bad. The place is way too understaffed, however, and you have to wait awhile to order food and get them served.

Wow. Amazing food, love the early hours and the classed up diner kind of vibe. The people are the best. But also they elevate a lot of their dishes with unique breakfast concoctions. Idk how else to say it, they have some unique stuff and it's all delicious from what I hear/looks like. I loved the chicken and waffles, Def coming back next time in town.
