When I came to Emery’s for the first time, I was treated like family. They made sure to take care of us to the fullest extent. Then I was able to dig into their shrimp & grits... I have family from the South, so I tend to think I know good shrimp & grits, and Emery’s has the best shrimp & grits I’ve tried in Omaha and the rest of the Midwest for that matter. You can’t go wrong with good comfort cooking, and Emery’s is special because they do it so well. Can’t wait to be back and to dine in-person soon.

Every time I set foot in this establishment I’m always treated so kindly by the staff! Beautiful atmosphere to dine in with a very homey vibe. Great customer service. My favorite meal would have to be the chicken and waffles and the hot wings!! Fresh food every time I’ve been always satisfied with my orders. Very affordable and I sent a lot of my friend their way and they loved the food!! Keep up the good work guys

This restaurant is a pure gem for Omaha in regards of its delicious food. The menu is limited but it sure does pack a surprisingly great punch. The cooks at this restaurant is superb and mad props due. I practically had everything on the menu over a period of time and most of the items were fantastic. The salmon croquettes are fluffy like real crab cakes, the JAG burger, fried shrimp the greens is fantastic, Mac n cheese, the JAG burger, shrimp and grits, and my neighbors absolutely loves their fried pork chops. By the way, the hand made cornbread is straight up amazing! Only downer is the service is kind of slow but it is worth the wait.

I moved here from Atlanta about a year ago, so I’ve been waiting to post my review for a little while now. I make an effort to support my own (black owned businesses), but this restaurant left me very disappointed. The hours are never consistent, they open and close when they want to. The food is delicious and that’s it. Pre-covid and during Covid, the service is pretty bad. No one greets you at the door, you have to find your own table, food takes FOREVER and you will never get a refill. It’s hard to believe that it’s a cafe, because it’s turned really ratchet. It’s more like a bar/club. The crowd is rowdy and there isn’t a mask in sight (while you wait) and I’m certain there’s no social distancing. The tables are so close together. I prefer to go during the day, but now it’s oddly turned into night life My family and I won’t be visiting anymore, specifically because Covid doesn’t seem to matter there and the crowd is absolutely out of control. This place was once classy/upscale and had a very cool, chill ambiance. Now it’s loud and ghetto. I’m sorry, but this is absolutely true.

This was my bestie and I and her mother first time coming to this restaurant, and the atmosphere was so amazing and calm, the owner Diamond was so down to earth, amazing, and very welcoming. The food was hot, fresh, and good. I will definitely visit here again. This was our first choice when we made it to Nebraska and it was a great choice because we had so much fun while eating, and lets not forget the places was nice and very clean. Five stars for me. Way to go Diamond, we also took picture I know she will remember us.

Absolutely love this place! My partner and I visited Emery’s cafe for the first time today. We didn’t realize that we should have called in first to make the order since dinning inside was closed but they were super understanding. We submitted our order and waited while they made our food. They lady who prepared our meal ( sorry didn’t catch her name) was super friendly and checked in with us. All in all, it was a wonderful experiences with delicious food and we will definitely come again. Highly recommend. The vibe is great and the food is even better. 10/10.

Oh, my word! This is so worth it! If you want great tasting, authentic southern cuisine, this is THE PLACE in all of Omaha! The shrimp and grits are out of this world! Also got the catfish, and it was probably the best fried catfish I’ve ever had, and that includes many southern cuisine restaurant experiences I’ve had in all the southern states I’ve been! A must visit for Nebraska!
