You can't eat there right now because they are closed there's an eviction notice on the door

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Instantly wanted to turn around and walk out but tried giving it the benefit of the doubt. Floors were sticky like they hadn't been mopped in years. There was a broken sign that said "please wait to be seated" so we waited for quite a few minutes before we were even acknowledged. We could see the kitchen from the entrance and there were tons of plates of food seemingly ready but no one eating. Waitresses looked like they're high school kids, (assumingly to cut costs in employee pay), and they were not very friendly. They didn't have juice available for my kids even though juice was listed as a beverage option. Coffee mugs were chipped and old. Couldn't even look out the window to get your mind off how dirty and ancient everything was because of all the paint on the outside. Menus were gross and also hadn't been cleaned. Coffee tasted like burnt water, creamer cups looked like they came from the 80s. We waited over half an hour before our kids became fussy (no kids menus or activities like most diners have) so we left before our food came. The cooks were bringing people food more than the waitresses were. I can't imagine anyone's food would have been hot because of how long it had been sitting in the window. We won't be back. I'm not sure how this place even stays open honestly. Outdated, dirty and lacking.

Stay away from this place!! Waited over an hour to receive our food. Came out completely wrong. They ran out of bacon and hashbrowns. The food we got was cold and overcooked. They also tried charging us higher prices than what was on the menu.

First thing I noticed when I walked in was the piles of food plates up in the window waiting to be served. They were not busy but the “children “ that were waitresses didn’t care except asking if you want more coffee and flirting with the younger men coming in. Second we waited almost 30 min before our order was taken. Then waited another hour and half before a friend I was with went up to window and asked if it was our food sitting there. Then she started passing out our food plates! While there I watched 5 couples get up and walk out. I watched 3 tables get served before our table and we were there at least an hour before them. And my food didn’t come as I ordered. We were missing food and they didn’t have OJ, bacon or syrup. My food was so cold it was rubbery! Never again!!! I should have walked out without paying.

Service was not great, the place is unorganized to the max. Food waiting on the food line for 20 plus minutes.

Not a shiny new restaurant but the tables and silverware were clean. The coffee and food was great and plentiful. Nonsmoking.Staff was friendly.History: 10 years ago this place was 100% smoking in the building behind where it is now.

The servers were very friendly. The blueberry pancake was legit and the hash browns were some of the best I've had. Power went out during my visit and all the workers seamlessly transitioned to an old school diner style. And never lost track of any costumer's orders

I ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon-extra crispy. My husband ordered a 3 meat omelette, a side of biscuits and gravy with country style potatoes, and pancakes. It took about 25 minutes for our food to come out, but that wasn't too bad considering that it was kind of busy. When our food came, my bacon wasn't cooked extra crispy, it was the exact opposite. My husband's omelette didn't have any melted cheese on the outside or inside, he had them take it back to melt the cheese. The gravy was likely pre-packged and not homemade it also didn't have very much sausage in it.There was no pepper at the table but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to come off as needy. The food was just ok. I think that breakfast food is relatively easy to make. I probably won't be back.

This was first time we dined at this restaurant on 04/18/2022. Everyone was friendly and courteous. I had the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast and it was great!!! The hashbrowns, fried eggs and pancake was great also! Good prices and good portion of food. However, I only gave it 4 stars as my best friend had the pork chop breakfast, he let me try a taste and he was right, it lacked seasoning. Other than that, it was great experience. We plan on dining for breakfast there again. My only problem would be to try something new on the menu as the Chicken Fried Steak was GREAT and I want it again!!! Survey Code 50020400080111

The food was good. Hearty portions. The only problem I had was that I could taste the salt used. However I think next time I will just ask for no salt used on my food.

Really wanted to like this place but ..... the hostess/waitress just pointed to an empty table after taking the people in front of us to theirs. Sat down to an almost clean table. Lots of trash on the floor. The waitress was very friendly. That about sums up the good part Waited 45 minutes for food. A lukewarm hot beef sandwich which I'm sure sat there until the coconut shrimp came up. The hot beef was ok. Coconut shrimp with almost burnt onion rings. To wait that long for food that is just ok isn't worth it. The incessant noise from the. Kitchen makes it worse.

Me and my family came here to eat. The food was great and the server kept cheek to make sure everything was good. This place was so calming that even my 2 year old brother was calm in a restaurant for the first time ever

The Homestyle Cafe lacks three things that a really top-notch diner should have: good coffee, toilet paper, and soap in the restroom.

My first time at this restaurant ?. Yes I will be going back. It was old fashioned and homey. Everyone was friendly and courteous. It's the kind of place where you and your friends can go and you feel right at home. Everything is made from scratch so yes the food was excellent ?.

Went in for lunch and they weren’t particularly busy. Ordered, waited and waited finally 35 minutes into our way we asked about the status of our food. The waitress who is trying very hard informed us they hadn’t even started our food. When you’re on your lunch hour you can’t wait 45 minutes for your food. Won’t be back for lunch!
